... The Stormy Sea...
Moscow’s bitter winter wind howled through the streets, but inside the grand ballroom of the Kremlin Palace, the atmosphere was one of warmth and opulence.
The annual charity auction was in full swing, and the city’s elite had gathered to flaunt their wealth, masked as generosity.
The glittering chandeliers reflected off the walls, casting golden light over priceless artwork and dazzling jewels.
Dexter Volkov moved silently through the crowd, his cold eyes scanning the room with calculated precision.
He was there for one reason only—to remind Moscow’s elite of his presence, his power.
His business dealings were whispered about in the darkest corners of the city.
If anyone dared to cross him, they didn’t live to tell the tale. (Oooooooo\~ Scaryyyyyyy just like my Caesar^^)
Yet, as the city’s most feared mafia boss, there was one thing that eluded him—a sense of purpose beyond power.
That was until he saw her.
At the far end of the gallery, a woman stood before a painting of a stormy sea, her eyes locked on the image as if entranced. Her long, dark hair cascaded down her back like waves, and she wore a simple black dress that accentuated her elegance. Dexter had seen many beautiful women, but something about her stirred something deep within him. He approached her quietly, his presence commanding even in his silence.
“Allow me,” he said, offering her a glass of wine.
The woman glanced at him, her hazel eyes cool and distant. “I can handle myself, thank you,” she replied in flawless Russian, her tone polite but firm.
Intrigued by her response, Dexter smirked. Most people either cowered before him or tried too hard to impress him. But this woman—this mysterious beauty—seemed indifferent to his reputation.
“And what is it about this painting that captures your attention so fully?” Dexter asked, his gaze shifting to the stormy sea in the artwork.
“The chaos,” she said softly. “There’s something raw, something honest about it. Life isn’t always calm, after all.”
He raised an eyebrow. Her words resonated with him more than she could have known. “What’s your name?”
“Hina,” she answered simply. “Hina Jin Lee.”
The moment her name left her lips, Dexter felt the pull of something inevitable. There was an air of mystery about her, an allure that went beyond her beauty. And though he knew nothing about her, he was determined to learn more.
...“What a beautiful name for a beautiful woman.” He said...
... “Shut it, jackass >:b” she replied back...
