Chapter 3

The world is full of deceit where people say one thing and

do another. This was the case with Yoona. She initially decided not to go, but

then changed her mind and started to walk towards the alley where the boys

were. She was scared that something might happen because of her, so she

cautiously approached the alley, taking one step at a time. She approached the

alley and saw that the boys who had been beaten up was no longer there, but the

blood covered the whole spot where they had been beaten.

 Yonna slowly sat on

the ground, crying, feeling the pain the boys had felt when they were beaten.

After 2-3 hours of crying, she straightened her back and thought of going back

home. However, it was late at night and she had never been out for so long. She

thought, "Oh, it's so late, uncle's going to be worried. I should go back

quickly while there are still people roaming on the streets, and I should take

something to eat with me”.

She started walking towards the bakery where the owner

usually gives the leftover bread to the beggars on the streets. Once there, she

stood in a corner behind the trash cans, waiting for the owner to come out.

People passing by saw her and got frightened because of her appearance, so she

sat on the ground in order not to be seen. She didn't want the owner to incur

any losses because of her presence. After the owner came out to throw the

garbage, she saw Yoona sitting there. The owner, a kind elderly woman, patted

her and asked why she was late today. Yoona replied, "Today I was late

because I slept in. Is there nothing to eat for me?" To this, the owner

replied, "I knew you would come, so I have selected some bread and

desserts for you to eat, and for your uncle." Upon hearing this, Yoona was

happy and smiled brightly like the sky, and she thanked the owner repeatedly.

The owner was happy as she had never seen such a cute soul

as Yoona. She couldn't help but think Yoona was pitiful. Yoona happily headed

towards her home, carrying the breads, walking and dancing while singing. She

crossed the road and went towards the alley where no one goes, to her home. She

strode there happily until she saw her home and dashed like a dog who has

finally seen his owner after 3 daysShe walked inside and called her uncle,

"Uncle, look what I got. The owner gave me more than usual. Wait, I will

serve it and bring it to you." Her uncle did not answer. Yoona asked

again, "Uncle, are you sleeping?" Still, there was no answer. Yoona

thought her uncle was mad at her because she was late today. She started

explaining, pacing beside her uncle who was on the bed, saying, "Uncle, I

know I am late today. Sorry for that. Will you forgive me for today only,

please?" She started shaking her uncle vigorously, and he fell from the

bed. Yoona began yelling "Uncle, Uncle, wake up, please! I am sorry,

please wake up. Yoona will never be late again." Then she started crying.
