Episode 8

Mrs. Damian pressed her temples, feeling the onset of a headache, at a loss for what to say to her son anymore.

"Damian, please, don’t make me ill with worry about your behavior. You decide now, divorce Leticia and marry your lover!" Mrs. Damian insisted, making a firm decision for her son.

She could no longer stand to watch her son's life continue without any sign of maturity.

"Mom, I know what I'm going to do, don't interfere!" Damian replied, clearly displeased.

"Choose one, Leticia or that woman!" Mrs. Damian still pushed for a decision from Damian.

"Madam...!" suddenly Leticia spoke up.

"Oh!" Mrs. Damian pressed her temples again as Leticia addressed her.

"I... I want to divorce Mr. Damian, but since my foster parents owe him, please let me work elsewhere to pay off their debt!" Leticia bravely announced, unsure if she was heard, but determined to convey her thoughts.

Crash!

Damian suddenly kicked the table with his foot, standing up angrily and looking furiously at Leticia.

"How dare you, speaking up and suggesting such an idea, that's outrageous!" Damian yelled, enraged.

Startled by Damian's shout, Leticia quickly dropped to her knees on the floor, bowing her head deeply until it unwittingly hit the ground.

"Forgive me, Sir, I am nobody, just a maid, sorry, Sir… but aren’t you ashamed to have a wife who is but a servant? It would be better to release me; you deserve a wife of high status, unlike me!" Leticia said courageously, not caring if Damian’s anger led to violence.

Damian's face darkened upon hearing Leticia's plea.

"You! Leave!!" Damian pointed at his lover.

Mrs. Damian had collapsed onto the couch, her body weakening, almost fainting at the sight of Leticia begging to be divorced from Damian.

Damian's lover quickly grabbed her bag and hurried out of Damian's mansion, frightened by Damian's intimidating presence.

"Damian, you must let go of Leticia, she's young and has her whole life ahead of her; she's not mature yet!" Mrs. Damian couldn’t stand to see Leticia kneeling on the floor.

"Mom! Her parents owe me a considerable debt; she’s the payment for her parents' debt!" Damian retorted angrily.

"Let me pay off her debt!" Mrs. Damian rose from her seat.

"No, I don’t want that, it's as if I’m using my own money!" Damian said, displeased.

"I have my own money, Damian. I haven’t taken a dime of yours!" Mrs. Damian argued.

"No! I don’t accept that!" Damian became increasingly irritated with his mother.

"So you're happy with this situation for how long? How many years? You must let Leticia go, Damian! Don’t be so selfish!" Mrs. Damian shouted intensely, the middle-aged woman deeply upset by her son's attitude.

"Until I'm bored!" Damian said nonchalantly.

"Fine! Then I might as well kill myself, I'm ashamed to have a cruel son like you!" Mrs. Damian, out of options to advise her son, grabbed her purse.

"Mom...!" Damian called, chasing after his mother as she hurried out of the living room.

"Don’t follow me!" Mrs. Damian yelled angrily.

Her eyes glanced towards Leticia, who was still kneeling with her head touching the floor.

Poor child! Mrs. Damian thought as she continued walking.

Damian followed his mother, who looked extremely agitated with him.
