They were friends for three years. He is her school senior. He comforted her and lifted her up from her past bitter relationship. They had nothing in common. She taught him how to read books. He taught her about computers! They shared their hobbies and thoughts.
They had lot to talk, argue and discuss. She shared everything with him. He would do anything for her. He even made her favourite author wish her on her birthday!
They were so comfortable that she even cried in front of him and he even talked about things that one would normally find embarrassing! He really cared about her. He would call her ten times a day just to make sure she is safe and sound!
As things and time goes by, she gradually fell in love with him. But afraid to tell him the truth. He knows her past relationship and how they broke up. She thought he may not like her as a life partner. She was sure that she would get hurt. She still remembers the pain she gone through!
And one day suddenly he texted her,
"I really can't describe the relationship between us! What are we? What do you think we are?"
She doesn't know how to react to his question. He calles her immediately! She picked up the call!
"Hello!", he said sternly
"Hello!", she whispered
There was a long silence!
"I can clearly hear you struggling to breathe! Relax", he said
For few days they haven't talked about this, as they both know this will be awkward! After thinking for a long time, she finally got the courage to tell him! She texted him, "I think I like you!"
They both now knew they like each other and wanted take things slow, forward and step by step! But what happened next put her into deep dark hole!
"I have a girlfriend and we broke up recently. She is gonna marry someone else now. I needed someone to vent my depression. So I thought you will understand me, but didn't think you liked me for real. I'm sorry, I can't go on like this!", he texted her.
The girl was broken into pieces. She didn't believe and asked him again and again. He showed his contact history and photos they took together. He also invited her to his ex's marriage. He wanted to show that girl, he can live well without her!
