The might of Dragons really seemed to intimidate Humans millions of years ago since the medieval period started. As they thought, Dragons will wipe out all Humans on earth with their strength. So, Humans did an advance move to wipe out Dragons. With the new leader of “Dragon Hunters”, Roswalt, he executed as many Dragons as they can, and that made wonder why Dragons aren’t making their move against Humans.
After a long time of hunting Dragons, with the last one they captured in the forest, they initiated a survey and a result stated that there’s another one Dragon left hiding around the country. Roswalt himself hunts the Dragon alone so that he can't let his comrades get hurt.
In the middle of searching, Roswalt saw a beautiful woman in the middle of the forest wearing red and pink dress. The knight got mesmerized in her beauty so he approached her. The woman is wounded on her shoulder and back so the knight helped her. He brought her with him and treated her wounds gently.
So as the woman showed the man how kind she is. She did not get afraid of him, nor suspected him badly. She even helped her on how to survive in the forest. They became friends. They both even came to the point where he and she gets so close to each other. She introduced herself to him as Dorothy and said that she will bring the knight to her house.
One day she asked him, “Why are you here in the forest?”.
He replied, “I’m on an adventure. You, why are you here?”, then asked her.
“I’m actually living somewhere near from here.”, she answered.
The man was surprised because a woman like her doesn’t seem to be living in a forest. As days had passed, the man fell in love with the woman. He courted her, everyday until they have reached her house. It was a big house surrounded by many big trees. They both entered the house, and Roswalt saw things that Dorothy owned. A displayed horn on the wall, scale armors, and a dragon helmet.
He asked her, “Are these your collection?”.
“Nope, that was actually my father’s. But I lost him yesterday when strangers came here with their swords chasing him. I followed him and got hit by an arrow. Someone is planning to kill us, but why? He didn’t do anything bad, he didn't claimed any huge land around us, and he didn't even killed someone... I wonder why did they captured him...”, she said.
The man was shocked, internally, he now knew that she is the last Dragon but he did not act strangely. He is still thinking on what to do and asking himself why is she so kind to him if she’s a Dragon with a big potential to dominate Humans?
Days have passed again, they're both lovers now. He decided to hide her identity to everyone without her knowing it. She really is an innocent, she doesn't know why Humans are killing them, she doesn't know if she needs to hide herself from the others. She's very kind-hearted, very far from what Humans suspected.
Despite the fact that he is a Dragon Hunter, he can’t also let his true self being known by her Dorothy. He doesn't want her to be afraid of him, nor have a reason to make her feel angry about what happened to his father. He doesn't wanna fight her. He really loves her deeply in his heart.
But the army needs him, as he is the leader of the Dragon Hunters. They have searched for him everywhere and later on, he was found in their house, in the middle of the forest.
“My Lord, what happened to you?”, asked by a soldier.
“I-I am currently living here so that I can trap the Dragon.”, Roswalt answered. He lied.
"Trap the Dragon? My Lord, this is a house that can be easily destroyed by a Dragon!", the soldier said.
“Sir! Sir! There’s a dragon outside!”, shouted by the other soldier from the outside.
“So, there really is a Dragon here! You’re such a genius for trapping it here, My Lord!”, the soldier said to Roswalt.
“Stop, I can handle it! You can now go back to the city and warn the others!”, Roswalt said.
“No! We can handle this. I already brought an army to help us!”. The soldier replied.
The army gone unstoppable as they chased and captured Dorothy in a form of a Dragon. Roswalt ran towards Dorothy and make her flew away. Dorothy doesn’t know about what’s happening. She transformed herself into a woman and greeted Roswalt, saying there was many strangers following her, might had amazed in her form. In the end, they were both killed as a giant arrow rush towards them. With Roswalt protecting his beloved Dorothy, and Dorothy hugging her man Roswalt. Roswalt died without telling the truth to Dorothy and Dorothy died without knowing what was the reason.
