The camera screen was showing something that he couldn't see with his own eyes.
He again pointed the camera toward the hallway.
On the camera screen, there was someone standing there.
He looked up at the hallway, but there was no one.
Nothing at all.
He looked back at the camera.
The person was still there.
“Dad?”
“Mmm… something is wrong.”
At first, he thought it was his father because of the face.
But it wasn't his father.
The person was wearing the same clothes from the old photograph.
That person was looking at my parents' room, standing straight, just staring at the room.
He tried to take a picture without him realising.
But the camera froze.
He to pressed the button again.
But Nothing happened.
When he look in front of me, that person was looking at me.
His stare gave me chills.
Suddenly, I felt someone's hand on my shoulder.
It was my mother, asking me what I was doing standing there.
I quickly turned around to tell her that someone had been standing there just a moment ago.
But when I looked back at the hallway…
there was no one there
I looked at the camera.
The hallway was empty.
I stared at the screen, confused.
A few seconds ago, he had been standing right there.
But now there was nothing.
No person.
No shadow.
Nothing.
His mother looked at him.
“It’s getting late. Come on, let’s have dinner.”
He glanced at the clock.
It was 10:30 PM.
He looked at the hallway one last time before following his mother.
But as he walked away, he couldn't stop thinking about what he had seen.
He remembered his father's diary and decided to read it after dinner.
After dinner, he went to his room and opened the old diary, thinking it might have some clue.
It was 11:15 PM.
His father's name was written on the first page.
Some of the pages contained his father's journal entries. He started reading them.
Slowly, something strange began to appear in the journal.
"He is behind me."
"He always watches me."
"This is his house."
"He comes at night."
"He said he would replace me.
"He won't leave me."
"I don't want to stay here anymore."
"If I do, I won't be me anymore."
Suddenly, he heard a noise outside his room.
He froze.
He checked his phone.
2:01 AM.
He had been reading the diary for almost three hours.
He checked the hallway.
There was nothing.
But then, on second thought, he brought the old camera and checked through it.
Still nothing.
He sighed in relief.
He went back to the diary.
Then he noticed something he hadn't noticed before.
A date.
Tomorrow's date was written on the journal entry.
The day.
The month.
The year.
Everything.
He stared at it for a moment.
“Wait… how is this possible?”
