Every morning, a psychologist noticed a young woman sitting on the same park bench, staring at nothing.
She never spoke.
She never smiled.
She only whispered one sentence every day:
"He's coming back."
People assumed she'd lost someone she loved.
One day, the psychologist finally sat beside her and asked,
"Who are you waiting for?"
She smiled.
"My victim."
The psychologist froze.
She continued,
"They never found the body. Everyone thinks my husband disappeared."
The psychologist quietly reached for the phone to call the police.
The woman laughed.
"You should check your own basement first."
Confused and terrified, the psychologist rushed home.
The police searched the basement.
Nothing.
Then they found something worse.
A hidden room.
Covered from floor to ceiling with newspaper clippings.
Every article was about missing people...
And every article had the psychologist's name circled in red.
The woman had never been waiting for her victim.
She had been waiting for the psychologist to remember who they really were.
