She never truly felt alone.
Wherever she went, another version of herself followed—
screaming, crying, angry, sorrowful, depressed.
She no longer feels like herself.
In an instant, fear takes over,
as if someone else has gained control of her.
Even her shadow no longer seems whole.
Now, being alone in her room frightens her.
Little by little, the weight on her shoulders grows heavier.
Even the light in her room feels as though it is fading.
Her window curtains are never opened anymore.
What she feels, she cannot tell anyone.
The rain she once loved the most
now feels cold and dirty.
The sun has become her enemy.
The only thing she loves now is her bed,
where she lays down her weary body
and wishes she would never wake up again.
