Kaze hopped into my beat-up old car, making himself at home. He cranked up the music, and the bass thumped like a heartbeat. We sped through the night, wind whipping my hair into a mess.
At my place, we dived into the game night chaos. Pizza, chips, and laughter – Kaze fit right in. He was a gaming whiz, tearing through levels like they were nothing.
As the night wore on, the crowd thinned out. Just me, Kaze, and a few stragglers remained. We huddled around the balcony, talking about wild adventures.
Kaze spun a tale about Tokyo's neon streets, his eyes gleaming. I listened, mesmerized. One of the stragglers, Alex, nudged me.
"Dude, he's either a genius or crazy," Alex whispered.
I grinned. "Maybe both."
As dawn broke, Kaze stood up. "Time for me to roll out."
I walked him to the door, feeling a weird reluctance.
"Thanks for the ride," Kaze said, flashing a smile.
"Anytime," I replied, before realizing how lame it sounded.
Kaze chuckled, tapping his tattoo. "Catch you on the flip side, Leo."
And just like that, he vanished into the morning haze. I stared at the empty space, wondering what just happened.
