*The Shadows Stir*
We lost track of time, lost in each other, lost in the music. The night wore on, stars twinkling outside like diamonds scattered on velvet. He pulled back, his eyes serious, his voice low.
"There's something I need to tell you."
My heart skipped a beat. "What is it?"
He hesitated, his gaze drifting to the shadows. "Someone's been watching us. Following me. I think they're connected to...her."
The past he'd spoken of, the girl he'd loved. "Who?" I asked, a chill creeping up my spine.
He pulled out a note, words cut from newspapers: _You'll never be free_.
"They've been sending these. I think they're trying to stop us."
A shiver ran down my spine. "Us?"
He cupped my face, his eyes burning. "I won't let them. We'll write our story, no matter what."
The shadows seemed to close in, whispers echoing in the dark. But with him, I felt fearless.
"What do we do?" I asked.
His smile was a spark. "We fight. Together."
*The Final Page*
We stood, hands joined, as the shadows retreated. The city outside was awakening, dawn breaking like a promise. He pulled me close, his voice a whisper.
"We'll face them, write our ending."
I smiled, heart pounding. "Ours."
We stepped into the street, sun rising on a new day. The stalker watched from a rooftop, eyes narrowed. But we didn't hide.
We walked, hands swinging, into the light.
He turned, his smile mischievous. "Want to write the epilogue?"
I laughed, pulling him close. "Always."
And the story... just began.
THE END....
