The room is quiet except for the soft sound of sobbing. A GIRL, early 20s, kneels on the cold floor, her hands clenched in front of her. Tears stream down her face as she cries uncontrollably.
A MAN, late 30s, stands rigid a few feet away, his face unreadable. He watches her silently.
GIRL
(voice breaking)
Please... don't leave me. I can't... I can't do this without you.
MAN
(softly)
I never wanted to hurt you.
The girl’s sobs grow louder. She lowers her head, pressing her hands to the floor.
GIRL
(sobbing)
Why? Why did you have to go?
The man takes a hesitant step forward, his eyes filled with regret.
MAN
Because sometimes... love just isn’t enough.
The girl looks up, her eyes pleading and full of pain.
GIRL
Then what am I supposed to do now?
He kneels down slowly to her level but keeps a respectful distance.
MAN
Survive. And maybe... find yourself again.
The girl closes her eyes, her cries slowly subsiding to quiet sniffles. The man stays close, offering silent support as the weight of the moment hangs heavy.
