Kids play a random ghost game they saw on the internet, unaware that it will haunt them for the rest of their lives. Candace and Andrew, 8-year-old childhood friends, see a game online and try to perform it at midnight, which opens the door to the dark world, allowing spirits to enter. The next day, everything seems fine, and they don't realize much, but Candace starts to notice strange things. She tries to ignore it, but as they grow up, Andrew experiences nothing out of the ordinary, while Candace becomes increasingly terrified day by day. She eventually disappears, and Andrew, who has been in love with her since childhood, dedicates his life to finding her. Years later, at the age of 21, he finally finds her, but at a terrible cost.
