Sometimes you can feel it,
the way someone’s presence starts to shrink.
The conversations aren’t the same,
the laughter doesn’t last,
and the warmth you once felt is slowly fading.
At first, you try harder.
You text more,
stay up later than usual,
make excuses for their distance,
and convince yourself it’s just a rough patch.
Then one day, you realize:
holding on is hurting more than letting go.
So you loosen your grip.
Even though the feelings are still there,
you finally understand
that you can’t force someone to stay.
And that’s how love ends sometimes..
no fight, no words,
just two people quietly walking away on different paths.
