In the early morning, a doctor says to a boy named Rahil,
"Your girlfriend Roshni isn't waking up because she's trapped in the world of dreams... and she doesn't want to come back."
Tears well up in Rahil's eyes as he says,
"No... I won’t let this happen! You must have some cure, right? I’m willing to do anything for Roshni—even if it costs me my life!"
The doctor gently nods.
"Yes, I do have a medicine. Wait, I’ll make a call and have it sent right away."
The doctor makes a call and arranges for the medicine. After a while, he turns to Rahil and says,
"This medicine must be given to her in the evening."
Rahil asks, desperate,
"Will she be alright after this?"
The doctor replies cautiously,
"We can’t say anything for sure yet."
He places the medicine on the table and leaves. Rahil walks over to Roshni, holds her hand gently, and sits beside her… slowly falling asleep there.
Suddenly, a boy enters the room silently. He grabs the medicine from the table and starts to run away.
Hearing the sound of footsteps, Rahil wakes up. He sees someone stealing the medicine. Without wasting a second, he rushes after him.
It's raining heavily outside, but Rahil doesn’t stop—his heart only knows one thing: save the medicine, save Roshni.
He chases the boy through the streets. But just when Rahil is about to catch him, the boy throws the medicine into a drain and escapes.
Rahil watches the medicine sink into the dirty water… and in that moment, he breaks completely.
He falls to his knees in the rain, screaming in pain.
"What do I do now?! I can’t live without Roshni! No… no! This can't be happening! What will I do now?"
The doctor arrives, seeing Rahil crying uncontrollably. Rahil clutches the doctor’s coat, sobbing:
"I couldn’t protect the medicine that could save Roshni… what do I do now? I don’t want to live without her… I’ll end myself too!"
The doctor places a comforting hand on his shoulder and says,
"I have another dose of the medicine. Don’t panic."
Rahil stands up immediately, eyes wide with hope.
"Doctor… are you telling the truth?!"
The doctor nods again and brings out another dose. Together, they rush back to Roshni’s room, Rahil holding the medicine tightly—this time, not letting go.
In her dream, Roshni was rich—wealthy beyond imagination.
In real life, all she had ever known was pain…
Pain that came only because she was just a middle-class girl.
People looked down on her.
Opportunities ignored her.
And the world—oh, the world made her feel like she wasn’t enough.
That’s why… Roshni chose the world of dreams.
A world where she had everything she ever wished for.
A world where she finally felt seen.
A world where she was happy.
And in that dream, there was a beautiful place.
Surrounded by tall, towering walls—walls that kept her safe…
Walls that kept the pain out.
She didn’t want to leave.
Because for the first time,
she didn’t feel small.
She felt... free.
But in the real world—Rahil was still fighting.
Rahil, the only boy who had ever made her smile…
The only one who saw her for more than her status.
The boy who once found her crying in a café—and still called her cute.
The boy who fell in love with her soul.
It was now evening.
Time for the medicine.
The doctor handed Rahil the vial and said,
"If she wants to return… this will bring her back within 30 minutes. But if she doesn’t… then nothing can."
Rahil knelt beside Roshni, holding her cold hand.
Tears streamed down his face.
"Roshni… please… wake up," he whispered, brokenly.
"I promise you… I’ll give you every happiness in the world. But please… come back to me. Without you, I’m nothing. Without you… I’ll die."
In the dream world, Roshni heard his voice.
It echoed beyond those tall, silent walls.
And for the first time, her heart trembled.
Tears filled her eyes.
She whispered into the wind,
"Rahil… why are you still waiting for me?"
Back in the real world, Rahil clutched her hand tightly, sobbing.
"Roshni… if you don’t wake up, I’ll end myself. I swear—I can't breathe without you!"
In the dream, Roshni stood up.
She looked at the massive walls around her.
She had built them to protect herself…
But now, they were keeping her from him.
She grabbed an axe—
and began smashing the walls.
Rahil cried out,
"Roshni! The first time I saw you at the café, you were crying… but you still looked like the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen. That very moment, I fell in love with you!"
Roshni froze. Her eyes welled up.
She began smashing harder.
Her arms ached, but she didn’t stop.
The wall started healing itself…
And she screamed in frustration,
throwing the axe away.
Rahil continued, his voice trembling:
"Remember those letters I sent? With your smiling pictures? I sent those so you’d know… that your smile is everything to me. I just wanted to see you happy, Roshni… Even if the world never gave you anything… I wanted to give you everything."
In the dream, Roshni looked up—and saw a helicopter.
A way out.
A way back to him.
She ran to it, climbed aboard, and flew up—over the walls.
Back in the real world,
Rahil pressed his ear to her chest—
he heard her heartbeat… growing stronger.
"Roshni…" he sobbed,
"I love you. I’ve always loved you. Please… open your eyes. Come back to me… I’ll put every happiness at your feet."
Roshni sat inside the chopper, rising higher and higher…
But no matter how far up she went,
the endless walls surrounding her dream world never seemed to end.
She looked down—
and far below, she saw Rahil… still waiting. Still calling.
Through the roaring wind, she heard his voice cry out:
"Roshni, please… 🥺 come back… I can't live without you!"
Tears burst from her eyes.
Her hands trembled as she gripped the seat.
Rahil, down on his knees, wept helplessly.
"I’ve lost everything before, Roshni…
But I can’t lose you. Not you…
Please… just open your eyes, come back to me!"
Inside the chopper, Roshni cried like never before.
Her sobs were silent screams—suffocated by the height, by the dream, by the weight of her heart.
Suddenly, a violent wind began to blow—
a storm stirred the skies,
and before she could hold on…
the chopper was thrust forward by the wind—
breaking past the walls.
And just like that…
Roshni’s eyes fluttered open.
Rahil gasped.
His hands shook as he leaned closer—
"Roshni…?"
And then he saw it—
her eyes. Open. Alive. Real.
Without thinking, he pulled her into his arms,
crying harder than he ever had.
He buried his face in her shoulder and sobbed,
"You’re awake… You're really awake…"
"I thought I lost you... I thought I’d never hear your voice again."
Roshni, still weak, gently wrapped her arms around him.
With teary eyes, she whispered,
"I heard everything, Rahil… every word you said.
I love you too… so much. I was just… too scared to say it first."
She paused, her voice trembling:
"I thought… if I confessed and you didn’t feel the same, I’d be shattered… I was afraid to lose even the hope."
Then she looked down, ashamed.
"And those letters you gave me… I didn’t know they were from you. I was so confused… I didn’t know if I loved the person who wrote the letters… or you."
Rahil cupped her face gently and looked deep into her tear-soaked eyes.
"It was always me, Roshni."
"The boy who watched you cry in a café and still saw magic in you... The boy who waited outside your college just to see your smile... The one who sent you laughter when the world gave you silence..."
"You don’t need to be confused anymore. I’m yours. And you’re mine."
Roshni, overwhelmed, wiped his tears with her trembling hands.
And in that moment, nothing else mattered.
No pain. No past. No broken dreams.
Only love—raw, real, and finally spoken.
They held each other tightly, as if letting go would end the world.
And perhaps, in their story—it truly would have.
