There was a middle-class family who had only one child named Abeeha. Abeeha was just 2 years old, her mother’s name was Alia, and her father's name was Kamran. This family used to be very rich, but Kamran’s real uncle took away all his property. He transferred all the money and assets, even their house, to his own name, and the debts that had to be paid to others were made Kamran's responsibility.
Because of having no money, Kamran had to leave his house with his family in the middle of the night. At first, it was very difficult for Kamran to work outside because he had been rich and wasn’t used to working. But out of helplessness and for the sake of his family, he started doing hard labor—lifting stones and working day and night. Eventually, he managed to get a decent job.
Even Alia, Kamran’s wife, found it very hard to wash dishes and do household chores for others, but she did everything for the sake of her daughter. Time passed, and Abeeha turned 18. Kamran became an officer, but the salary was only enough to cover the basics, not their desires. Abeeha didn’t know any of this.
One day, Abeeha was sleeping in her room, or at least her parents thought she was. They started talking about how their property was taken from them. Abeeha overheard everything. She had grown tired of living a poor life, where every little thing required compromise. She wanted to be rich.
Abeeha tried all kinds of online work, but all she found were scams. Frustrated, she began to fall into depression. At night, she would slap her face, cry, and scream, praying to Allah:
“Oh Allah, You took away my childhood. Those people are enjoying life on my father’s money while we are stuck living this middle-class life. Allah, I want to be rich too. Didn’t I deserve that rich life? Why did You do this to me? I’m grown up now. Even if I become rich now, I will forever regret that I didn’t get to live a wealthy childhood. I didn’t even get to see a proper university life—I'm doing university from a college. Please Allah, make me rich now, please 🥺 I beg You with folded hands 🙏🏿 please 🥺.”
But life gives what it’s meant to, and Abeeha and her family had to continue living the same middle-class life. Abeeha started staying sad all the time, and life just kept going.
