"After this mission let's leave all this and go far away." said Tyla as she looked at the man who was her life.
"Hmm, we'll do as you say" Evander looked at her with eyes full of love as he patted her head.
*Bzzt*
^Hello Devil and Angel, the mission target is moving towards your 3'o clock. Another is in the 7'o clock direction.^
^Copy^ I turned off the earpiece.
"Lily you go east and I'll go the other side."
"Okay, be careful Ven."
They both went in opposite directions.
Tyla hid herself in the darkness. Seeing her target coming closer she launched an attack.
She closed the distance with terrifying speed. No wasted motion, no clumsy footfall. Her first strike was a blur – a precisely aimed kick to the back of the target's knee. He roared, his leg buckling, sending him sprawling onto the grimy cobblestones.
Before he could orient himself, Tyla went on with her next attack. Her movements were a whirlwind of controlled violence. A swift elbow to his ribs stole his breath, followed by a sharp downward strike with the reinforced edge of her gauntlet across his forearm, eliciting a grunt of pain as his weapon clattered away.
He scrambled backward, trying to create distance. Tyla pressed her advantage, her lithe form a stark contrast to his bulk. She feinted left, then darted right, her movements fluid and unpredictable.
He swung a wild fist, desperation and fear fueling his clumsy attack. Tyla simply leaned back, the blow whistling past her nose. In the same seamless motion, she twisted, her leg hooking behind his remaining ankle. With a sharp tug, he was down again.
This time, Tyla didn't hesitate. She drew a thin, wickedly sharp stiletto from a hidden sheath in her boot. The steel glinted for a fraction of a second in the dim light. She moved with the cold efficiency of a surgeon, placing the point precisely at the base of the man's skull.
A low growl rumbled in his chest, his eyes wide with dawning terror. He tried to speak, but only a gurgling sound escaped his lips.
Tyla's expression remained impassive, her focus was absolute. With a swift, decisive movement, she ended his life.
^Angel here, task done^
On Evander's side.
He lunged forward, his karambit flashing in the dim light. His curved blade sliced across the man's bicep, drawing a thick line of crimson. The man roared in pain, dropping the pipe.
Before the target could react, Evander shifted his weight, delivering a brutal kick to the man's knee. The leg buckled with a sickening crunch, and the giant crashed to the ground with a heavy thud.
He came behind him instantly and locked his throat then twisted it, killing him right then.
^Mission Accomplished^
"Ven" Tyla came to him and hugged him.
"Let's go" he smiled and hugged her back.
"Careful!!!"
Evander held Tyla in his arms and jumped away from the place they were standing at.
"What's the meaning of this, Cobra?" Tyla asked looking at the men that gathered around them.
They were surrounded from all sides with guns pointing at them.
*Clap* *Clap* *Clap*
"Good job in completing the mission Angel and Devil, but now that you are done with it there's no need for you in the organization." said the leader.
"Then let us go. We'll vanish from here and never show up in front of you" said Tyla as she glared at them while trying to find a way to leave their encirclement but to no avail. They were surrounded by all kinds of guns, rifles and snipers.
"Only dead men tell no tales, Angel. So you both have to die."
"Lily" Evander whispered and held my hand.
I nodded at him and then suddenly took out a remote then pressed a button and all the doors and windows of the warehouse got closed.
"You want us dead but let's see if you yourself can live or not." I said smirking at them.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!!"
The man with the snake mask shouted seeing the situation.
"We've installed bombs here because we wanted to clean up this place"
"Who would have thought that these would be used to clean you guys up" I spoke then pressed another switch.
