Mc and Ml have been besties for as long as they can remember. They share a rock solid relationship, which is formed on many years of laughters, warmth and comfort.
As the two grow older, Mc becomes interested in the common part of every youth; Love.
Mc later meets someone; Antagonist , a new person in their school or wherever (😋). Ag is a smooth-talker but uses these skills for flirting and playing with people's hearts - Including our Mc's.
Ml finds out later and instantly picks up on his plots against Mc. They warn Mc and tell them about his true self but Mc thinks their just being mean and breaks off with them.

Eventually, Mc and Ag hang out and begin dating. Ml tries to talk to Mc but no luck which makes their friendship crumble.
Not long after Mc and Ag started dating, Ag gets their sights on someone else and dates them in secret. Mc finds out later even after Ml caught Ag and their lover and told them.
Mc gets depressed and hurt. They deeply blame themselves for always falling into pits then remembers Ml is always the one pulling them out of it.
Mc feels bad about hurting Ml and tries to patch things up with them. Ml didn't let them get to them so easily. Mc had to charm their way to win back their friendship only that, in the process of doing so, they realize the hints Ml has been showing about his romantic feelings towards them.

After finally putting the pieces together, they approach Ml and confronts them about the hints. Ml lets down their guard and admits to it, confessing to them about his feelings towards them.
This step into their dating relationship marks a restart in these two's relationship.
