The war between Palestine and Israel is one of the most complex conflicts in the world. Israel wants to take control over Palestinian land, which has led to the martyrdom of millions of Palestinians. Israel did not even spare children or the elderly.
On May 14, 1948, Israel officially declared its independence. Immediately afterward, Arab countries attacked Israel, but Israel won the war and captured more Palestinian territory. As a result, nearly 700,000 Palestinians became refugees.
In 1967, Israel fought a war against Egypt, Jordan, and Syria, during which it captured more Egyptian land, East Jerusalem, and the Golan Heights.
Since then, Palestinians have been forced to live under Israeli occupation in these areas.
The oppression in Palestine became unbearable for the Prime Minister of Hamas, who decided to stand with the Palestinian people. The name of Hamas’s Prime Minister is Ismail Haniyeh.
In a retaliatory attack, Hamas launched 7,000 missiles at Israel, resulting in the death of 100 Israelis and more than 800 injuries. Hamas attacked Israel by land, sea, and air.
In response, the Israeli Prime Minister declared that Israel was now officially at war. In Israeli attacks on Palestine, 210 Palestinians were martyred, and more than 1,000 were injured. The Israeli army claimed to have targeted 17 Hamas sites in Gaza.
After a brutal bombing campaign, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the parliament and issued a warning to Iran, saying:
“Do not try to test us. Don’t repeat the mistake you made before—because the price you will pay today will be much heavier. It might even wipe out your existence.”
Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh said,
"Palestine has great hopes from Pakistan. Pakistan is a brave country. If a message comes from there, it can help stop Israel’s oppression."
Israel declared a state of war and carried out brutal bombings on Gaza, targeting residential buildings. In the Israeli attacks, 160 Palestinians were martyred and 950 were injured. The Israeli Prime Minister stated,
"The enemy will have to pay a heavy price."
In response to Israeli attacks, Hamas launched counterattacks in Khan Yunis, encircling Israeli forces. In these operations, ten Israeli soldiers were killed and eight were injured.
According to Hamas, 24 Israeli tanks were also destroyed during the assaults on Israeli forces.
The war between Israel and Palestine is one of the greatest humanitarian crises in the world.
Millions of innocent Palestinians are still fighting for their rights.
Palestine continues to be deprived of water, while Brazil has access to more water than any other country in the region.
If the UN and the world do not take immediate action, this war may escalate even further.
