In the midst of silent
night with a chirps of birds
The mad cloud starts
to envelop the stars,
to block its shining
that's giving hope.
The rain breeze
that kiss the roof
making little noises
warning—
announcing the arrival
Of the king of disaster.
A perfect example of
The calm before the storm.
The sounds of raindrops
The hushed of the cold wind
Doesn't seem to bother
a girl with a hoodie
and skinny jeans
hugging her tiny figure.
For she is too pre-occupied
with the disaster in her mind.
She raised her hand,
Palm open —
welcoming the little drops
of the sky's tears.
Her eyes were shut
mimicking the sky,
Pouring little drops of tears
Except the hands to save it.
He saw it;
The every little detail
from how the calming,
sweet night turns
into disastrous darkness.
From how she ignored the world
And envy the drops of water from above.
He witness it
from the window
with the only light
in the row of house
behind her where she
swing.
Unusual scenario but so familiar to her, to him.
Just like the other days
he would stand up there
windows open and watch
the girl from far
But today he feels it
He feels the like to
change the routine.
And from where he was standing
He obligue to do what's always bugging him.
He walked through the door
without a hesitation
he dance with the rain
sway to her direction
and sit in the swing beside her.
No one speak, no one dare to break the silence.
Unusual for the first encounter, it isn't awkward.
The silence between
them is so warm, so calming.
The cold rain seems to
be a sunny day with a
man admiring the lady
in her arms.
Only the screech of noise from the swing
Keeps her alive in reality she wasn't alone.
She took a glance
in the moving swing
it has a force on it
No one
It's only the empty
thing that's moving.
'are you there?' she asked
he nodded.
She never hear
a response nor
see a nod but
the warm spreading
in her heart through
her veins is enough
to know she wasn't
alone, that he's here
