In this novel, we follow the story of Giovanni, a young man who happened to be a leader of a powerful mafia families. He falls in love with Sophia who works in a local coffee shop, Giovanni knows that their love is forbidden, but he can't help the way he feels. One day as Giovanni was walking back to his office with his associate, he saw some group of thugs cornered Sophia and he knew her life was in danger so he rushed to go rescue her taking down the thugs with his bare hands. Sophia thanked him for his help and the two struck up a conversation and realized they had a strong connection despite their different backgrounds.
He and the young lady, Sophia, begin a secret relationship, but he knew that he is playing a dangerous game.
As time passed Giovanni and Sophia’s love grew more stronger and better. He know that if anyone finds out about their relationship, it could mean the end of both of their lives. But he can't stay away from Sophia because he can’t live without her so on one of his visit to Sophia’s work place, as he was leaving the coffee shop, he was ambushed by the mafia families. They found out about their relationship he said to himself and he knew that Sophia’s life was in danger and so he was devastated.
