When I was hanging out with my best friend, Kayla and her boyfriend, Karl at the arcades in the downtown mall after we took our last class, I met a guy who told me he was that guy in the cafe who wore the scary clown mascot last Halloween.
Of course, I remembered him since he looked more lonely than scary. He was giving out free red balloons near the park with the name of their cafe but the people felt uncomfortable of his costume. I was drunk that time and Max gave me a dare to hug him or date him. I'd rather hug any stranger than date Max. He is an arrogant and lazy student but besides his money and looks, he's definitely a womanizer.
I did the dare, got a balloon and forgot about everything since it was still last year. I always go to the cafe though since it's near the institute and their coffee's stronger than a bull. The man under the mascot was tall, lean and hot, or that's how Kayla thinks. Does she not even bother to think that she already have a boyfriend, who actually tried to sleep with me last month since Kayla was clearly out hanging around in clubs and shopping in dates.
Of course, I stopped him but it was a creepy moment. Imagine, he snuck in my room, slept next to me, rubbed his thing on my ass then groped me. Who even want to have their first time with a man and his dirty sword? No. Besides, what's with people and their obsession with cheating? Are they that greedy? Glad I'm a Christian.
Kayla insisted on me taking his number since the guy totally asked me out for dinner. I mean, yeah sure but the guy is a total stranger, you know? Paul and Kayla left me there waiting for the guy to finish telling his company of friends that he'll hang out with me instead.
When he finally got to me, I could see he was taller than I imagined. Maybe, 189 cm? He was wearing a grey shirt and white pants. Much to my annoyance, we look like a couple. Don't get me wrong, I'm wearing a white blouse and grey skirt.
We went to an expensive restaurant and ordered pasta. What's with dates and pasta anyway? Kayla always complains to Paul about their dates and pasta. If she gets dissatisfied with whatever pasta place they go to, she'll just take the day and spend it on shopping. Kayla is a star in the institute for her small, round and pretty face while Karl for his wealthy background and of course, his body. I just don't get how prideful and, maybe, patient they are at their relationship. As far as I know, both of their past relationships last for just a month and they're already on their one year together. Amazing.
We sat on the cornering table and waited in silence. Then the waiter came with the menu in which he took and ordered something I don't know. It's French and the waiter got out politely. We still sat in silence just looking cautiously from time to time at each other. Then the order came and we got served a delicious aroma of Blondie pasta.
The waiter was gay and he was totally into him. I even forgot to ask him his name yet he was bold enough to ask him his number. Isn't it courtesy to ask for the name before the number? Like, introductions first before getting to know each other? Or dating before officially being in a relationship?.
"Thank you but I'm straight", he apologized as if it's his fault but the man was persistent enough to say, "Maybe you'll get a change of heart after!". It wasn't cringe, just embarrassing. He's literally not paying attention to me, you know, whom others think is this guy's girlfriend.
"That'll be all! Thank you and we'll tell you if we need anything!", he just ignored it! Wow, that's a man there! He is totally not grasping the intention! If I were him, I would've totally said yes. I mean, look at this guy! He has the curves, the skin, the beauty and the grace! He is definitely my type instead of a man who's smiling when he thinks I was angry out of jealousy.
When the embarrassed waiter got out, this guy finally took the initiative to start a conversation.
"My name is Marcus and I work at the cafe you often go to. I met you last year at Halloween and only got to talk to you now"
