Once there was this little boy who could see ghosts.
One fine evening, it was drizzling outside. The boy went outside for a walk. Suddenly it started raining heavily. The boy quickly took a shelter.
Then the boy noticed a young man sitting on an old bench under the same shelter. The boy quickly realised it was a ghost because his head was bleeding and his face was almost disfigured. But the boy couldn't see the rest of him as he covered himself in a ragged type of blanket
The little boy curious, asked the ghost, "Mister, why are you sitting here like this? Hiw did you get hurt? or rather...how did you die?"
The ghost replied, "Little man, you see that crossing there? Yes, I was hit by a large truck and then run upon by a car immediately after that."
The little boy asked, "Why did you get hurt that badly? What were you doing there?"
The ghost showed an expression of uneasiness and discomfort. "Uhhh...", the ghost started. "I, I was trying to sa, save someone."
"Why were you trying to save the person?", the boy asked.
"It would have hurt her and the scar left on her heart would never have been erased." The ghost replied.
"You loved her so much" The boy said. " You even sacrificed yourself for her! I bet she is so sad now. She might be even going crazy about you suddenly leaving her like this."
A pin drop silence was followed after the sentence.
Then the ghost broke the silence.
"N, no. She isn't sad. She's happy. Really happy. Happier than ever."
Then tears came in the ghost's eyes.
"What?" the boy said. "Why would on earth would she be happy?!!????"
Then ghost said something that left the boy speechless. The rain soon stopped. The boy left for home.
When the boy reached home, he soon went to his room and started jotting down everything he learnt about today, the discussion with the ghost qas the topic.
Then the boy started crying.
He then started writing in his diary.
"Some people are so kind and do such reckless things for love and so that their beloved person stays happy, like sacrificing themselves" The boy wrote.
Then he wrote, "Reckless things like, sacrificing themselves for someone else so that their beloved one who stay happy even though the person they love doesn't love him back."
"Reckless things like, saving their love's boyfriend and then getting run upon by a car"
The young man, sacrificed his life to save the boyfriend of the girl whom he loved. Such true love...does it really exist?
