Before leaving, I told my boyfriend "Henry", that he should be patient and wait for me
We made love for the last time and the next week, I moved to Europe for school
He has been by boyfriend for the past 3 years

Fast forward 4 years later
I graduated with honors the best of my class
My father couldn't attend my graduation because he was busy with work as usual
I was sad as I watched other people celebrate this grand occasion with their families
But, I wasn't sad for long
I had made a great friend in school
Her name is "Sophia"
She and I both come from influential families and our dad's are business partners
She's amazing and she loves Kpop
So, we clicked at once and became best friends.
She invited me to stay with her and her parents during the graduation party. and all in all, I had fun
After the party we wrapped things up and came back home

He came to see my at my home and it made me very happy
We talked for long
Although, I noticed something different about him
He didn't hug or kiss me as much as he used to
He was kind of distant

It was on one sunny sunday morning that I had the worst experience of my life
It was my boyfriend Henry's birthday
I was so excited for his birthday
And, like any other good rich girlfriend, I had planned something very elaborate for him
I and Sophia took our time to make everything perfect
The plan was to surprise him at his house and take him to the surprise party we had planned
I and Sophia got down from our cars and since I have his spare house keys, I opened the locked door
Upon entering, I heard some strange noises

And upon entering my living room I saw my father
He coldly asked me why I was crying

And instead of him to console his daughter after going through such pain, he scolded me
Telling me that I should focus on the business
He kept screaming and shouted at me
That was when, I completely lost it
I insulted him, spat at him, went to my room to take all my clothes and I left
Luckily, I knew this day would come
A day when I couldn't stand my father anymore and I will have to leave
I saved all my pocket money he sent me from college
It amounted to a big amount
And I moved into a house of my own
I used the remaining money to start up my business
It was very hard at first, because my father kept on using his connections to ruin my business so I would run back to him begging to come back home
But, he didn't succeed
I was determined and I made it
Years later,
I am very happy and free
I got married to a tall, black handsome man and we have 3 kids together
I vowed to love my children with all my heart
I later heard that my father had died
I didn't want to go to the funeral because he didn't love me and treated me badly
But, my husband and children convinced me to go and I did
Some time later, his lawyer contacted me to tell me that he had put everything he owned in my name
I cried after hearing that and regretted leaving but I knew for sure that I wouldn't be happy like I am now if I had stayed back and listened to his every command
My friend, Sophie is doing great
She owns a big company in Canada now and is enjoying her life.
I keep setting her up with several guys but, the dates never go well
She always tells me that her soulmate will come to her and there is no need for all these dates
I finally decided to leave her alone
Sometime later, I got a call from my mom
She kept crying saying that her husband's company went bankrupt and he drove her away
I hanged up on her immediately
Yes it might seem harsh
But, I don't care at all
She left me and never bothered to check up on me

All in all, Life is great now
I have a husband that loves me and children that adore me
Oh and as for Henry, the sl*t he cheated on me with drugged him one day and robbed his entire house
he woke up the next morning to find an empty house
I laughed when Sophia told me
