After I finished playing the new event of my favorite game on my pc, I decided to take a nap. It is exactly 2:45 dawn and the surroundings are enveloped with silence. I turned off my pc and cuddled my pillow.
I dreamt about being kidnapped by one of the antagonists in my game. My hands were being tied up while he’s sitting beside me laughing and licking the knife he’s holding. I remembered my moves in surviving this level. I kicked his ass, he accidentally throws his knife, I get the knife through my left foot and did a gymnastic move. While he is still suffering from the kick that I throw at him, I happily freed myself. But, something’s happening. To be honest, I am not a gymnast and never thought I really did perform it while I’m sleeping.
I cried in agony.
“Ouch. That hurts. But, it’s funny.
I turned on my pc to see the time, 5:03 am. I then got up to go to my neighboring convenient store to buy ramen.
As I opened my apartment door, everyone is in panic.
“Shut it down! There’s a monster in it! Throw it!”
*shattered glass after throwing his flat-screen TV*
“Mommy, Daddy’s holding a knife. He’s doing something like the game he’s playing every day! Mommy, I’m scared!”
“It’s okay, Honey! Don’t cry.”
I scurry went outside the building and saw the worst situation. The news in the tower building says “Technology is hunting every single person in the city” and then, the broadcaster is seemingly crying but her tears are frightening. It’s blood that’s flowing from her eyes. I cannot afford to watch it anymore so I decided to go to the convenience store ‘coz I’m still hungry.
I hurriedly picked my favorite ramen and then go to the counter. I hand him my ramen but he’s not in his right mind. He’s just staring at the counter machine while murmuring the exact words “Monster…Monster…monster…” I start perusing him to regain his consciousness but it’s impossible. So, I decided to leave the convenience store with my ramen and pulled a can of coffee in the vending machine next to him.
“Hey, I’m not doing a bad thing okay, it’s just you who’s not dealing with your customers properly. Thank you.”
I then went to my apartment room and logged in to my pc to play another level of my favorite game. But, a creepy event board welcomed me. It is full of knives being pinned in the red roses with matching crimson blood in the background. Then, a euphoric mood came into my senses after reading the words “IT’S TIME TO PLAY, MASTER.”
Then, I remembered something relevant. The man who throws his flat-screen TV is in the same scene as I am completing level 25 of my game. The next one is the happy-haunting family where the Father needs to kill either his daughter or his wife to get money, level 42.
I accidentally bang my pc table and realized that I am the one who was manipulating the scenarios happening in my surroundings. An adrenaline rush then flowed into my whole body.
“I am now superior to everyone. This is exciting. LET’S PLAY THIS GAME.”
