Adam was a young prince who was quite naive. his council members took the opportunity to get the throne from him . he was supposed to be crowned after the king his father died. he trusted his council members blindly and would do anything for them cause he believed that they were his father's best friends. the council managed to keep the prince under their finger by killing his mother who was the only person who didn't trust them. he and his father felt that people were after their lives after the queen's death so they trusted no one other than the council . the prince was still mourning his father's death and now they were planning on killing him. the maid was bribed to put a sleeping pill in his drink . Adam was kidnapped and put in a dungeon and was gonna be executed by by the council members. Adam woke up, looked around and wondered where he was, then his prime minister walked in. he asked the minister why he was there. the minister laughed and explained what his plan was from the beginning. he explained how he had always wanted to be King so he befriend the king when he was a prince and after he became king being his friend he made him the prime minister. then he married the queen who didn't trust him one bit. but he knew that the king was not going to betray his wife so he found a was to kill his wife and make them trust him even more. Adam was heartbroken. he never expected the people he trusted the most killed his mother and were planning to kill him. Adam cried for days until his nanny that had always loved him felt sorry for him and sneaked him some tools and he found a was to escape. the council found out immediately. they executed the the nanny and started searching for the prince. he ran and they chased him for hours until they lost him. he ran into the forest and fainted out of exhaustion . when he woke up he found himself in a strange place . he was terrified and he jolted right up . he looked around and he saw no one other than a beautiful room. he walked out of the room and looked around . it was a big house but no one was around. he looked around even more but found no one. he thought he was dreaming or dead. he was less scared because he was alone. he ate and cried some more because he really loved the his council. he cried until he fell asleep. when he woke up he saw a cloud of black smoke in the shape of a man starring at him. he stood up startled and he fell on his butt . the guy looked at him concerned and asked in a dark voice ''are you okay"Adam was terrified and he asked who he was. the shadow said his name was Julius, he was cursed and was stuck in the forest. that's why people thought the forest was hunted. he had seen the prince in the gardens of his palace. the palace was surrounded by the forest and he had always admired the prince from a distance. as he was patrolling the forest he found his beloved in forest unconscious so he took him to his place. the idea of someone liking him other than his parents was really hard to believe. he laughed while crying and refused to believe him. the Julius stood up and carried him, he was surprised but he didn't respond. Julius took him to to a room and sat him on the bed he went and brought him some food and then he left. he ate the food and fell asleep. the next morning he came out and he didn't see anyone, he went to the garden and saw an injured snake. it had been running away from a bigger snake . he wanted to leave it alone but he felt guilty afterwards so he treated it, after it had woken up he told it what happened and wanted to leave but the snake stopped him and knew something was bothering him. Adam was creeped out by a talking snake . he stared at the snake for some minutes until he screamed and then he asked "you can speak?" the snake replied with a yes and then the snake thanked Adam and asked if he was okay. Adam who was finding it difficult to trust anyone felt like he could trust the snake and he told him everything. the snake felt sorry for Adam and offered to be his friend. when he returned to the castle Julius was waiting for him . he asked where he was and Adam was and he said he was at the garden. Julius invited him to eat dinner. they were quiet the whole time. after they finished eating Julius carried Adam to his room. Adam asked him why he treated him like that and Julius made it clear to him that he was in love with him so he would try to take care of him. Adam didn't know how to react to that so he went to sleep. in the morning he goes to visit his snake friend till evening when he goes to eat and sleep. that's how his days went and everytime Julius told him how much he loved him. after sometime Adam got annoyed at him and told him to stop telling him that all the time but Julius was persistent on making Adam trust him. everytime Adam came back home they ate and he took him to his room again reciting that he loved him. Adam went and lamented to his friend. the snake laughed at his misery. then the snake asked "why don't you trust him i mean you trust me" to that adam had no response. the following days he was quiet thinking about what the snake had said. Julius wondered why he didn't nag him everyday now. he was worried that maybe he had started to ignore him so one day he asked but he was given no reply. the snake sensed this and asked him. he said he didn't know why he didn't trust him. the snake answered saying maybe it was because no had ever romantically loved him before so he didn't know how to interpret it. he couldn't tell if he was telling the truth, he had made friends before so he could when he sincerely wanted to be his friend. he couldn't tell the same for Julius especially that he never tried because of Julius's terrifying appearance. Adam liked the way he was treated but if he loved him. one evening during one of their quiet dinners Adam spoke saying "what is love?" "how can I fall in love?" Julius was surprised he broke the silence but he answered the question "love is a strong feeling of affection and concern for another person accompanied by sexual attraction" "you get butterfly's in your stomach, an intense feeling of joy that can also feel a bit unsure because it's so strong." "any other questions?" Adam nodded his head as in to say no. the dinner continued as same, quiet. the next day adam rushed out to see his friend,he saw his friend sneaking food from the kitchen *blink*😑*blink* *uhh, what are you doing* he asked. he ignored everything and said he wanted to talk to him. he explained what had happened the other night and the snake asked him if he had any of the symptoms Julius explained. he felt a little like that but he still wouldn't admit it. he started to pay more attention to Julius and he felt the butterfly feeling more often than not. he took a moment to understand Julius and he liked him but he still didn't want to trust him. one day when Julius and Adam had an argument about his snake friend. Julius felt like it was too much trouble to take care of so he wanted to get rid of it. because of that he slapped him. Adam felt really guilty afterwards so he went to see his friend, he wasn't there so he waited for him. he arrived about three hours later looking worried. he said he had seen some hunter take a disguised animal shape of Julius and he was afraid of maybe he was Dead. Adam was devastated and refused to leave his room. he neither ate nor slept. he was feeling restless and guilty. his friend tried comforting him saying he wasn't sure if the animal was exactly Julius's disguise. but taking the fact that he hadn't come home for days he couldn't question that he was caught by hunters. the snake managed to get Adam to eat . one day the snake asked why he had cried so much for Julius . Adam finally admitted his feelings for him. the snake chuckled happily which confused Adam. days passed with the snake acting weird but Adam didn't pay much attention to it. one night something woke adam up and he went to check it out. he saw the most magnificent sight. the snake managed to turn into Julius. he was mesmerized. he caught Julius's attention and he ran. he didn't know that Julius had saw him. he ran to his room still not knowing how to comprehend what had just happened. when the snake [Julius] came to check on him he pretended to be asleep. the snake [Julius] chuckled at him 🤭. the next morning adam woke up tired because he was thinking the whole time. he went out and saw Julius smiling, he greeted him good morning. Julius was still smiling and that creeped out adam. he ate and sat down thinking of last night 🌃. Julius was still smiling. the whole day went with Julius grinning at him. Adam didn't know why he was grinning at him until Julius broke the silence saying "when was the last time you saw me" then Adam screamed "you're not dead 😱". Julius laughed saying "took you a whole day to realize 🤭" then Adam sighed relieved "so yesterday was just a dream 😌" Julius replied with a "nope" "what do you mean?" Adam replied. Julius said that he had saw Adam the other day and it was not a dream. he really was his snake friend. Adam asked why he had pretended. and he said it was because he was more friendly with his snake form and he wouldn't even talk to him. when he was hurt he helped and became his friend, he decided to stay as the snake. he preferred been his friend than being hated by him, but Adam had confessed about his feelings. that made him happy. he was planning to show himself but Adam had seen it earlier. Adam was surprised and couldn't a word until he screamed embarrassed. Julius ran to him worried, he said he was embarrassed because he had confessed in front of him and didn't even know 😭. Julius laughed 🤭 🤭 🤭. dinner this night was lively and this time Adam finally responded to Julius's love confession.
