'Life changes over night' - have heard phrases like this everywhere but happens only on movies. Atleast that is what I thought.
A normal twenty seven year old woman, after an exhausting day; what else can she long for? A good death like sleep.
I returned to my small apartment, had my dinner, and went straight to my bed. Without taking too much time, I feel asleep immediately.
In the middle of the night, I woke up with a sore throat. I took off my blankets, dropped my feet to the cold tiled floor and moved my buttocks away from the bed to stand up. I walked towards the door still in a daze. When I went to push-open the door, I heard a voice from behind my shoulders.
"Hey!", said the voice. The voice seemed not too far away from me nor too close to me. My drowsiness was wipped away in a second upon hearing the voice. I planned to run outside the room, lock the room door and call the police. But the voice said, "Don't run away! I came here to see you. Come in and sit down. Let's talk!".
I had no choice but to listen. I turned to the side where the voice was heard and asked, "How did you enter into my room?", with a trembling voice.
"Please calm down! Turn on the lights and take a look at me", said the voice. The voice sounded very beautiful. The voice melted my heart a little which did not make me run. I walked towards the switch board slowly and took my hands to turn on the lights. I gathered up my courage to turn on the lights and look at the voice's owner. I clicked the lights on. I slowly turned to the direction of the voice and what I saw made me unconscious for a few minutes.
I woke up after a few minutes on my own. I was left just the way I was when I fell unconscious.
"You didn't had to fall like that. I'm glad you woke up. I was scared for a moment there, you know?", exclaimed the voice. I can call the voice the Alien now.
The shape of the alien was more like human unlike to way it has been portrayed in the movies. I realised that it was an Alien by the way it was fully naked; the way how it was fully blue in colour; and the way it had two antenna above it's head on the either sides. I thought that I could be dreaming but my pinch hurt me.
"You seem too astonished to speak another word. Alright, let me introduce myself to you. I am Xeca from the planet Earth 7.7 . I came to planet Earth 3.3 on a mission. I want to check if you are the worthy candidate to accommodate me on this mission. Are you ready for the test?", explained the Alien but I was still too fasinated by the scene to talk another word.
I slowly cleared my throat and spoke, " What should I do?".
The Alien got up from where it was seated and walked towards me. It stood close to me; took out a sharp object out of nowhere and took the object close to me. I panicked at that moment and started sweating enormously.
"Calm down!", said the alien.
The whole atmosphere felt tensed for me. The sharp object stayed next to my neck; not going too far nor too close.
Within a second, the Alien took the knife towards its arms to slit open its skin and let green liquid escape from its body.
My immediate reaction for this sudden self attach was to band-aid the Aliens arm's.
I ran towards my drawer to find the first-aid kit to help the Alien out.
While I was band-aiding the Alien, it said, "You are the one to save humanity. Confused but caring. Will you save humanity with me?".
I did not give the Alien any answer and continued band-aiding it's arms. "You can call me by my name", said Xeca. The galactic in Xeca's eyes made me feel refreshed. I had so many doubts on my mind at that moment but even so without thinking I uttered, "I want to help".
Xeca with a happy look on the face said, " Come on! Let's go find more saved humanity like yours".
