I watched as everyone was cheering.
There in the water with his head covered was the man I know so well.
The guards started drowning his head, and his body began squirming. The guards raised his head again and drowned him once more, this time, longer.
While everyone was laughing, I alone cried.
I looked at his body, it kept shaking. I couldn't stand it! I slowly closed my eyes and heard the crowd getting louder and louder.
After a while, I finally had the courage to open my eyes once again.
I looked into his body and it wasn't moving.
"Please move, please..." My knees gave up and I cried.
"I'm sorry."

As I was walking towards the tree, I opened the letter that he wrote for me.
His last letter.

My sweet Hail,
I'm sorry if I lied to you. I didn't want you to worry. I don't know if we will meet again, so I am writing this letter just in case. Hail, the first time I saw you, I knew that life would be harder for me, I tried to burn away the feelings I had for you, but I couldn't. And now, I'm paying for it. But since it's you, I'll embrace it openly with no regrets. I always dreamed of living with you till we get old and sick. I wasn't expecting that you'll actually even notice me. I had always thought that you were disgusted with people like me. I was so happy the first time we talked. All of our memories, I remember it so clearly, the first time you slapped me, kissed me, and punched me in the face after you realized you kissed me. I truly treasure those moments with you. But sadly, I have to go first, and don't worry, I'll be fine. I hope you won't forget me. Thank you so much for everything my Hail. I love you.
Azrael,

I lay my head on the tree, as tears escaped my eyes.
"I love you too. So much." I gradually closed my eyes, and let out a heavy breath.
After a while I felt cold wind blew past me, and I smiled while savoring the feeling.
