In my life I have always been lonely. I neither have friends nor any relative. I lives alone with my pet dog
named rainbow. To me he is the source of my happiness and reason of living. But today he also left me. He died infront of me while saving my life. I feel a pain in my heart seeing his cold body lying on the road infront of me. I want to cry and hug him but my legs gave up and I feel numbness over my whole body. Memories with him starts flashing in my mind and my vision becomes blurry. Suddenly I saw a flash of bright light and a dark figure came infront of me with its golden eyes.I want to see his face and ask him to help me but I am unable to even breath properly at that time. That's the last thing I remember before I fainted.
I woke up next day after that incident and found myself at the hospital. Doctor ask me,"How do you feel?". I replied,"I'm fine". He then told me that I was lucky to be saved by a gentleman otherwise I would have definitely died. After listening this I asked the doctor who saved me and where is he. There is no reply from the doctor he just said you can discharge now and your fee is already paid by someone. By saying this doctor left from that room. I was confused by doctors behaviour but later I remembered my rainbow's face. I carefully comes out from the hospital and takes taxi and told driver to take me to maria road. Yes, that's the place where I lost my rainbow. Tears were coming in my eyes and memories with rainbow in my mind.
I reached there and saw some policemen along with their cars. They were carrying some strange equipments and it looks like they were searching for something. Taxi driver stops the car and I paid him with the money I have in my jeans pocket. I hurriedly
starts searching for my rainbow and a policeman noticed me and shouted,"Hey you girl what are you doing here?". I walk towards him and replied , "Officer, yesterdays I had an accident and my dog gets injured. Have you seen him?". He stared at me then replied,"Um..,We found his dead body on the
road and there is his grave"(pointing towards a hill). Listening this my hands becomes cold. Tears starts escaping from my eyes. I went towards his grave and the only word I can say is sorry. I cried a lot the weather is also bad and suddenly it starts raining heavily.
After sometimes I get up and starts walking like a person with no soul. I am tired,sad and blaming god for taking away all of my happiness. I am blaming god for being cruel to me and blaming myself for not being able to protect rainbow. I want to die but I can't because rainbow saved me, he wanted me to live well not to die. I reached home,open the gate, switch on the light and went inside. As I walked inside I found a man sitting on the sofa of my room. Our eyes met and they were mysterious, cold, filled with sadness and seems to understand me well. His eyes were golden in colour and we continued to stare each other for some time.
After sometime I distract myself from his eyes and asked him,"Who are you?". At that time I saw his face he have pointy ears and a pair of horns. Seeing this I became scared and again asked him," Are you a monster, what are you doing in my house?". He continue to stare at me with his cold gaze. He stands up from sofa and starts walking towards me.
I also starts taking steps backward trying to escape but found myself between him and wall. I tried to escape but he locked me and placed his hand on my waist. I looked at him but he hugged me tightly. He then answered with his cold voice in my ear giving me a shiver," Amelia Park I am your life saviour it will
be better for you to behave well otherwise I will destroy your human world and kill every human living here". Listening his voice and seeing his appearance I get to know that he is not lying. He was giving a horrifying murderous aura. I without showing my fear looked in his eyes and tries to push him but he was very strong. A tear escape from my eyes and he shouted at me with his deep voice,"stop crying,it will be of no use". Listening this I started crying more loudly and shouted,"you monster, why are you in my house and what do you want, I have nothing left if you want something take it away I don't care".
He smirked and said," You have said that I can take anything from here but what if I want you".
On listening this I became nervous I thought that I will be able to save my life but now it looks like my life will come to end in the hands of the beast standing infront of me. I answered with a painful smile on my face," Okay you want my life kill me and take it, that's all a bloody moster like you is capable of, take it away and return to the place you have come from". There is silence in the room and it feels cold inside the room I am scared at that time I looked in his eyes and saw anger on his face but sadness in his eyes. I am unable to understand him and his expression. I want to ask him why he is showing me this face but something is stopping me from asking.
Suddenly door bell rang and I goes away from there to open the door. He neither says a word to me nor stops me from going away. I opened the door and saw policemen whom I saw earlier at maria road on my gate. He smile and says, " Hey girl I have a question to ask you about yesterday accident, tell me how your dog died". I replied," Well yesterday my dog rainbow and I planned to go on a walk ,at maria road as it is beautiful place, quite and there is forest on one side of the road. But when I am crossing the road ,a car came infront of me but ,my rainbow saw it and pushed me away from there, later I fainted and don't remember anything ". On hearing this policemen said,"okay fine,but later if you
remember anything feel free to contact me ". I didn't ask him further as I wanted to go inside the house.
Policemen left giving me his contact number. I returned back to the living room and saw no one there. But I saw a note on the table,I picked it up and there is written wait for me. I understood that is left by monster with horns.
I returned back in my room and opened an old box. There is one old photograph in it along with red stone necklace. In the photograph there is my photo when I was 4 years old along with a little boy around my age with a pair of yellow eye and a pair of small horns. Seeing this I questioned myself,"Is it you ,my love? Even if it is you doesn't matter cause now is not the good time to tell my identity". I kept the photo back in the box and wore my necklace.........
