"So you are telling me one of the victims survived?"
I turn up the volume as I talk with my co worker on the phone. Driving to my grandparents home had always been a mixture of exciting and eery feeling.
"Yes, thankfully she remembers the murderer and is willing to make statement."
Tapping at the steering wheel, I brood over what my co worker had just said.
"Let's not make her awaking public, killer might find her again."
"That's the plan for now. Let's just hope she will not waver from her courage to make a court statement."
I nod in agreement, as if they could see me. "Well, anything else?"
I ask, now turning my full focus on the road, it is as isolated as I remember and the dense jungle on the each side of the road made it even more creepier. But, that was what I liked and thus, lead me to be a detective as my career path.
"The victim has given their statement about the murdered's appearance."
I almost raise both my fist in excitement but soon gain my composure realising how I was driving in the middle of no where and how late I would get assistance if I crash here.
"Go on." I urge him to give me the details.
But, an unusual sight catches my attention. A tall figure was standing on the side of the road, according to her silhoutte it looked like a girl.
I slow down my car as I get near her.
"The murderer is a girl."
I hear my co worker speak from the other side.
Not missing the information my co worker was feeding me, I stop my car just in front iof the girl.
"She has long black hair, reaching down her waist. A white female with doe eyes....
I look at the girl, "please open the door. My car broke down."
She says, and I scout with my eyes to see any visible means of transportation nearby: none.
"Where is it?" I roll down my window shield and just enough to get my voice out.
She fumbles with her words, "i-it's just a bit ahead." pointint towards thr far distance she looks at me.
"A mole on the side of her eye and the corner of her lips...
I could still hear my co worker in the backgroud.
"I am not lying." She says,
"about 5'5 in height and might have a burn mark on her hand.... victim tried to defend herself by splashing hot oil....
"What are you doing here?" I ask her,
She looks flabbergasted, "I- uhh just for some sight seeing?"
"Her face is oval shape and her nose is small, and...
"Okay get in the passenger seat." I tell her as she smiles in relief.
"and when she smiles unlike others her eyes don't crinkle instead just the corner of her lips tug up making it look almost creepy..."
Me and my co worker finish our sentence at the same time as I see the girl in front of me knocking the passenger seat asking me to open it.
'She is the killer. Without any weapon to protect me should I open the door?'
