"Darling, we will be together"
"Please come to me"
The man kept hearing voices of his late wife and he loved his wife deeply but she was gone. She's not truly dead because she kept reaching for him from beyond this world, calling out for him as if he hadn't been dead these 20 years of her lifetime.
He sat up from his bed with a gasp, looking around frantically. He felt like it had happened again.
His hands began shaking while he stood up slowly to walk towards the window where he saw her wife leaning against a tree, wearing all black, eyes closed and lips moving as if she were in pain. The woman opened her eyes then looked at his direction. Her face lit up with excitement and her mouth started moving but the voice stopped her.
"Wait! I am coming to get you", he waved to her.
"I'll find you."
She walked towards him holding a knife in her right hand. His heart was beating very fast now but he wasn't afraid, there's something about this person that feels familiar and he didn't understand why until she spoke in a gravelly tone.
"Why did you do?" she asked.
"Do what?", he tried playing dumb
"Why did you open the door?"
He felt his hands getting chilly and the smell of something sweet coming towards him.
She took another step forward. His breath hitched when he saw something shiny on her knife.
Her face full black , eyes glowing red and lips curled into a malicious smirk as she said "I knew you'd answer".
He smelled charcoal as she bent towards her also the scent like fruity wine. He couldn't breathe or move or think. His body felt numb and his brain could hardly process anything.
He closed his eyes, something pressing his chest as she put her body on his chest and moving to his face.
"I won't open the door"
"I beg you"
"Don't kill me", he woke up screaming.
He saw her wife standing before him with charcoal mask on her face with her hands on his shoulders trying to wake him up.
She pointed her finger to the fridge.
"Don't open the door"
