My robot told me ‘I’m not really a robot, actually I’m a human being’
Let me take you to the beginning of the story
It was all a project, a project that started from an idea, a thought in my imagination. My name is Kay, the CEO of sky laboratories. This all began at the age of seven where I had the thought that robots could still have a better version and the rate at which the world is advancing and changing is a tool to be utilized. I came in contact with a humanoid and it was taken to my house for tests and adjustments, it needed to fit in with humans without being recognized as a robot, I was in charge of the project but the company who sold us this humanoid suddenly vanished after showing up; a background check was done but still nothing was found. I tried working on the humanoid but I didn’t understand it, after a couple weeks it was ready to go out into the field, but there was an element of uncertainty so I didn’t allow it. The robot and I grew a friendship, we already started doing a lot of things together like taking walks, exercising, dancing, singing and even eating( I installed a compartment in which food can go into). The android was programmed to update itself based on what it has learned, but to me it seemed that it was already a natural in most aspects; so one day at the office I tried going through the humanoid’s files, there was a file that was locked in the memory of the robot, I met the file there from the beginning and I’ve been unable to access it. Few weeks later my humanoid and I were getting along so well, it felt like I was with an actual human. One day my humanoid said to me ‘I love you’, I was astonished and I thought that the humanoid was improving in human connections. That very day I went over the files of the robot just to make sure there were no errors, that was when I noticed that the locked file was unlocked. I opened it and saw images and videos of a woman, but they didn’t look recorded, they looked like some sort of memory. I was so confused; the humanoid turned itself on and said to me ‘I was not always a robot’, I asked what it meant, then it replied ‘I was kidnapped and sold to a company that uses humans as experiments; they substitute some part of humans for robot parts. I was the first that was changed to a full robot, but a nice scientist uploaded my consciousness into a file and installed it in me’. My mind was blown.
