"I can't stop loving you", he moved closer to her.
He was a criminal , and yet when he looked at his wife there was no way he could hate her anymore. The feeling of her in his arms was indescribable.
"I'm sorry, I should have told you earlier that I love you too." He kissed her again.
He was a Mafia Boss, handsome, ruthless, evil. And yet when his wife looked into his eyes it all melted away.
He held her close, running his hands through her hair; kissing every inch of her face. He loved her, deeply.
But she wasn't his,
The look on her face was priceless.
Pushed her to his chest,he pressed soft kisses on her face while murmuring sweet nothings; telling her over and over again how much he missed her, how much he had waited for her. She looked so fragile in his arms, but the smile on her lips said otherwise.
"You're beautiful", he whispered softly as he caressed her cheek "you deserve everything".
He wanted to spend the rest of his life making sure she knew how much she meant to him.
He didn't want anyone else to be lucky enough to hold her.
She was his, and she was always going to be.
And he wasn't going to waste another second of her life.
"I want you", he said as he pushed her against the wall.
She gasped in surprise but smiled softly. "Yes, I know", she placed a hand on his chest
and pulled him closer "I love you", she kissed him one last time before closing her eyes.
As soon as their lips touched he felt something.
Something new and unexpected. A warm wave spreading throughout his body as if he'd been plunged into an icy lake. His heartbeat accelerated and he felt his skin tingling; his muscles tensed as if they were being squeezed.
He couldn't breathe.
His brain froze and his heart ached; he tried to move but his limbs didn't respond. There was nothing more than this intense sensation coursing through his entire body.
He felt like his entire world had stopped. Everything around him felt frozen, unreal. Like a movie that had just ended without even leaving its credits. All he could feel was her.
He slowly lowered himself to his knees , keeping eye contact with her as he did so.
They stared at each other, breathing heavily; her hands still wrapped tightly around his neck.
Her eyes were wide open, filled with fear, confusion, disbelief.
He knew he needed to let go, to get out of this situation. But he couldn't. It hurt so damn bad. Every part of him wanted to stay right here with her forever. He wanted to keep looking at her, to hold her, to kiss her until there was nothing left in his world. Nothing except for her.
Nothing but her.
The next thing he knew was waking up from slumber, a cold sweat soaking his body and clothes. The only thing he could focus on, however, was his late wife's name echoing inside his head.
