I have a secret. The one which makes me who I am... It is the only one which I couldn't disclose to my Best Friend 'Harvey Rider'.
"Hey Speedy! "
I stepped out of my thoughts and looked over to the only person who calls me that nickname.
There he was with his chin propped on his hands and looking at me gently with his bright eyes, smiling.
"Grace, Call me Grace! " I glared at him to which he just showed his perfect teeth and smile which made my heart squeeze.
"So,Miss Walker, what was it that you wanted to tell me? Do we really need to come outside to a diner to listen to it?" He asked to which I put down my cutlery and looked at him.
"Yeah.It's pretty important. "
He raised his eyebrows waiting for me to continue and I did.
"I'm going to New York tomorrow morning and I will be back after I complete my 3 years Course. This is going to be our last dinner together. So I think this is important though you might not feel the same. "
There! I said it! I had to leave... I had to move on...
After not receiving any reply for quite some time, I looked up to see his face which was now dark. His previous smile was nowhere to be seen.
"You're telling me this now? Now of all f**king times? "
Startled to hear him swear in front of me, I quickly replied.
"I had to. I have my reasons. "
"And what are they? "
"Nothing to worry about."
I couldn't say him that I wanted to get away from him for a while to clear my head of all those idiotic thoughts which tell me that I like him.They are making me crazy. He's my friend... Just a best friend...
Seeing me being silent, He gripped his knife and fork harder.
"What happened to 'No Secrets'?"
I couldn't answer this... at all! Cause now my biggest secret is that 'I have fallen in love with my best friend! '.
