The pain is a reminder,
Of the strength I possess.
By looking outside with wide open eyes,
I bet you'd never guess.
That I've been torn apart
More times than I can count.
That I've deflected the hate
When it hit me in huge amounts.
That I'm a survivor,
Carrying the burden of a man's sin.
That I'm determined to stay on my path,
And never be led astray again.
The pain is a reminder,
Of all I have overcame in my life.
It's a REMINDER to KEEP MOVING,
And not focus on what's behind.
