They were friends since their childhood. They spent hours talking to each other on phone.
While talking they felt like there was nothing wrong in this world, they could never be unhappy or sad in those moments.
One day, she texted him to which he didn’t reply. This was the most unusual thing for her. She texted him again but got no reply from his side. Finally, she called him but she was disappointed again.
The whole day passed but he was not available through phone or text. She started getting worried that something was definitely wrong with him.
That night, she couldn’t sleep and stayed up all night crying and worrying about him. It was then that she realized just how much he actually meant to her.
However, she received a call the next morning. It was him. She picked up the call…
He: Hey!
She: I’m so glad to hear from you, what happened?
He: I… I was… busy.
[She knew that something was wrong but she couldn’t ask.]
[Silence]
He: You know what, we should stop this. We shouldn’t talk anymore.
She: [stunned] What? Why?
He: Sorry. Bye.
[He cuts the call. She couldn’t believe her ears. Felt as if she has lost a part of her.]
All their past conversations started flashing in front of her eyes.
She started crying, tears were streaming down her face.
She was lost and confused.
She felt broken, sad and alone.
She was standing on the roof and wanted to jump off.
He was the only one whom she loved more than anyone else.
“Why had he done this to me? Why?!” she yelled as loudly as she could from the roof.
Then she made up her mind that she was going to try and win him back.
[She dialled his number]
She: Hey!!
He: What did you call me for?
She: I need to say something.
He: Go ahead.
She: I wanted to say just one thing…
[Her voice choked. “He doesn’t care about me,” she thought.]
He: Say it!
She: Are you okay?
[Silence]
The tears started streaming down her face again. She hung up, and decided to write a note and ran out of the house with it.
[Six hours passed]
[His phone rings]
It was her (girl’s) mom. She tells him that she got hit by a car when she was on her way to meet him and that she is now admitted to the hospital.
He then rushed to see her.
He reached the hospital and took her name. She opened her eyes.
He: Please be okay, I’m so sorry.
She: Why did you do that?
He: I have heart arrhythmia (a heart condition) and I don’t have many days to live. I didn’t want to hurt you.
She then held his hand, whispered in his ears “I Love You!”
Looking into his eyes, she smiled and then closed her eyes forever.
He could not believe that all this has happened because of him.
A few minutes later, he gets a heart attack and he dies from grief.
