The Tree of Life
Time is an unknown entity. With unknown reasons it passes, with it our youth. We seem to slowly age and die. From dust we come, to dust we return.
it started out as a sapling on this earth many years ago. Unknowing and carefree it sways with the breeze. it seemed not to be the only new comer as others grew beside it. It made friends and connections.
There is no life to be seen anywhere. The ground seemed to have been covered with lava before the little plant sprouted. The earth's surface was as hard as concrete black as coal and somewhat warm. A true wasteland.
Some time passed and after long the little sapling grew into a tree. it grew into a tree not much larger then one's height. It had the charm of youth. Its leaves danced in the breeze. A talkative personality it had. From left and right it swayed. A pleasant fragrance seemed to permeate the air.
Unfortunately the joy was shortly lived. Unknown creatures seemed to walk the earth, these creatures had two legs 2and spoke strange verses. Unlike the other animals which screamed and chirped to announce there presence, they seemed quiet and mysterious.
Their skin was hairless, pale and clothed in strange fabric, mainly brown. They looked around, spoke some more and somehow their lips seemed to turn upward in glee. They walked passed the tree and fell silent. The wind seemed to blow more intensely.
Many years passed. Friends seemed to disappear. Slowly connections were lost and suddenly the tree was left alone. All it's friends gone. The animals stopped showing themselves a while later. The wind did not blow and the tree's leaves lay still. IN the lonely silence it remains.
It continues growing alone, large and silent. The air was hollow and stale. The tree large as it was, grew lonelier by the passing years. Its roots grew with it deeper into the earth. That is all it could do. Just sit unmovable and alone. Waiting for it's turn to disappear to where it's friends were.
it waits, in patient content while time never stops, slowed or showed mercy. Slowly more trees appear, more creatures and after such a long wait the large tree was no longer alone was no longer alone. Saplings gave birth to more trees and brought along grazing animals.
The tree told stories of its long life to the others. The breeze felt incredibly pleasant. Soft and welcoming. It told of peace, content and gratitude. The tree was the largest around and yet spoke of gentle welcoming to all.
in conclusion patience brings great satisfaction and that eventually beauty comes from the most unexpected places. Just be patient.
Don't loss hope and hope shall never betray you.
Just be patient.
