"You don't have the right to question my decisions, it will do you good to know your place," the man said in a cold tone.
Clarissa caressed the red hand mark on her cheek, still gazing blankly at the tall figure in front of her.
She's not even half as tall as him yet her eyes showed immunity to pain.
Those were not the eyes of a child but more of a doll's.
'I guess he really doesn't see me as his child,' Clarissa thought to herself, her mind busy observing the man's reaction. 'I can't really blame him as i too never saw him as a father.'
"Get out of my office while i'm still being nice." The man let out a sigh, trying to calm his nerves.
Ever since Clarissa's mother fell ill, the empire's situation worsened as well.
The Emperor, Clarissa's father, who's used to playing around with his women while his Empress deals with all the official duties, now had to suddenly stay cooped up in his room looking through piles of documents.
'If he continues to approach official duties with such carelessness, i'm afraid the empire's future will be doomed to end.' Clarissa leaned on the closed doors leading to the Emperor's office and sighed. 'I guess I have no other choice.'
Clarissa became a puppeteer, controlling his father's decisions. She'll often manipulate him and use harmless poisons at times to keep him from making unwise decisions that'll have a massive effect on the empire.
'Killing him right now won't be very beneficial to the empire.'
'I'll delay his death just a bit longer, I guess.'
'He can't die yet...'
'Not yet...'
