Blue is an average student who recently transferred to a new school. He, along with his friend Red, is walking towards their very first lecture in the school."Why did we have to suddenly shift here?", Red asked. Blue immediately replied,"This is such an amazing campus with so many opportunities.. why would we not come here?"

"School dosen't matter dude, the girls do."

"That's such a wrong thought process. Besides, you're a cool dude. You can get girls easily"

"Fair point",said Red, as they continued walking to their class.

The Duo enters the classroom, where a teacher is waiting for them. The teacher seems to be a man in his thirties, and has a head full of grey hair already."it seems you two have arrived earlier than expected.", he said.

"Red and Blue, isn't it?"

"Yes Sir! I am Blue, and this is my friend Red."

"Keep your bags in desks of separate rows; and Blue, come with me for a moment."

Blue follows the Teacher into another room."Why have you brought a friend here?", The teacher asked. Blue immediately reponded by saying that he and Red were as close as brothers.

"You are aware that this puts him in danger as well."

"He won't die so easily, I can guarantee that."

"The reason you are transferred here is for you to reach stage two before the school mid-term examinations"

"Stage two? That fast? That's impossible!"

"That's why I brought you here to train."

"Okay sir, I will try my best"

"Return to the class for now. I have some important matters to attend to. Also, be careful of any wierd changes in energy you may observe.."

Blue walks into the classroom, and finds many people already present in the class. He looks at Red, who has already started talking to the people around him. He sits on his chair, and notices that a person is sitting beside him. She looks a bit small for the grade, has blackish-brown hair, and a mysterious aura surrounds her. She turns her head towards him and says,"Hi! You're Blue, right?"

Blue is taken aback. He felt nervous, and Sir Grey's warning made the feeling worse.

"Are you fine?", The girl asked. Blue couldn't open his mouth to speak."I can't make the same mistake again... I came here to change myself, so speak!" After a few seconds of silence, Blue finally spoke,"Yes I am. I was honestly surprised by you calling me by my name the first time we met."

"Oh, I'm really sorry about that. I do scare a lot of people with my observation skills. I'm Purple, nice to meet you."

" We ended up on the same side of the spectrum I see." Blue said with a chuckle. Purple did not seem like a person with any ill-intensions, but a wierd energy is indeed emnating from her. Blue decides to not question her about it for now. Sir Grey enters the classroom and begins the first lecture of the academic year 2050-2051.

" So.. we're partners for this class?"

"For the entire year as well. unless you get detention, which makes you miss a week of sitting beside my prestigious self."

"This school really focuses on morals. I like it."

" Spectrum High isn't really concerned about grades. it's all about a person's physical,mental and psychological development."

The two having a conversation in the middle of Sir Grey's introductory lecture annoys him, and he scolds them for doing so."This lecture will be held every month, and is different for each and every class."

...Blue was happy that he found a good friend on his first day. She said she knew the school inside out, and would show Blue around the school sometime in the near future. He heads towards the 'training room', which he thought meant a gym of some sort. Blue was neither athletic nor a person who liked excercise, but once he dedicated himself to do something, he would definitely do it no matter what. Sir Grey mentioned about a lecture on cultivation, which is the method to increase the potential of magic one could use....

As he walks into the room, he notices two figures standing inside.

"Woah! what are you doing here?", Blue said with a surprised voice. Sit Grey looked at Blue with a mildly dissapointed look.

"I don't think you noticed, but I'm a mutant soul too."

"That explains the wierd energy..."

"You realised something was different? That's a great start according to Sir Grey. I am a mental ability specialist,which is why I look so small. "

"You don't look bad."

"I never said I looked bad."

Blue realised he might have hurt Purple unknowingly. He feels sorry, but is not sure about what to say. for his entire life, he had been a socially akward person and had very little experience with talking to girls.

" It seems you both do not need an introduction. let's get started immediately.",Sir Grey said.

"Cultivation is basically concentrating on the energy that comes along with the substances entering your body and absorbing it. There is a limit to the amount of energy a person can utilise, which is called his 'level'. There are 90 such possible levels, divided by three stages of cultivation. the simplest form of cultivation is breathing. you take energy from the inhaled air, and use it. Cultivation at higher levels is a complicated phenomenon, and theese are the basics that you should learn to grow as a mutant soul. "

"so I just meditate?"

"your physical strength and willpower are two main factors deciding your level. both are equally important to maintain, and the average of both is considered as your real level. Purple has a Mental ability of level 40, but has a low physical ability of 30."

"How do I find my own level?"

"You shall find soon enough. From this moment, you both shall be cultivation partners from now on."

" What's that?",asked Blue.

Blue and Purple were sitting beside each other, and were in a deep meditative state. Purple opened her eyes, and looked at Blue. "I think we should take a break now, otherwise I have no idea how many hours you will stay here." Blue opens his eyes, and looks a bit shocked. "Your eyes...",He said."They're actually purple.."

"Yeah, I cover them with illusion magic to avoid attention. they are one special pair of eyes, able to spot many things a regular person would just ignore."

"That does sound very amazing."

"It is. people call me Sherlock Holmes for my skills."

"Amazing!"

Blue stopped staring at her as It was bad manners to stare at someone. His mother was always strict with moral values, and the impact of it was clearly seen.

"Why did Sir Grey leave without answering my question though?",Blue said in an upset tone.

"He might have been called for some important work. A cultivation partner is like a classmate studying the same syllabus, just a bit more closer."

"Thanks, you really do help a lot."

The Duo had been meditating for almost an hour now, and Purple was clearly reluctant to do any more.

"Have you decided which club you want to join?"

"I completely forgot about that. the rule says one person can join one club only, right?"

"Yeah, multiple club activities really can't be done together."

"Sounds like you've already been through that."

"I've been through a lot, and this is definitely very low on my 'bad experience' list", Purple said. The rays of the setting sun shone on her smile, making it look even brighter. "She really is beautiful",Blue thought to himself.

The Duo headed for their respective dorms, which were unbelievably close to the school.

"what's your dorm number?",Purple asked.

"Boys dorm 311."

"what a coincidence!"

"what?"

"mine is Girls dorm 311! did you meet your roommate yet?"

"yeah, he's my childhood friend."

"sounds interesting.. anyway, let's reach before the sun goes down"

The Duo says goodbye, and Blue takes the elevator upto his dorm room on the third floor. A lot has happened in this day, and he needs a lot of time to understand it. As he opens the door, he finds Red sitting on a chair and playing a game on the computer."let's fight again, I'll beat you this time!",He said. Blue felt relieved that in a place where everything has changed, A friend with whom he has such an amazing bond is the best thing to have happened to him. Both played until they were tired enough to sleep."How was your day?",Red asked.

"I absolutely love this school!"

"me too, it's a very good area."

"Got any girlfriends yet?"

"not yet, but I did make some new friends in our class. Did you talk to your partner?"

"Yeah... It was a very scary experience at the start."

"You will make more friends, I'm sure of it."
