Gushes of wind blow through the school premises...

In a certain classroom, Luke Junior, one of the students silently awaiting the end of the last session, hoping that the class bell would magically ring on its own

Shivers, goosebumps, constantly dilating his eyes at the classroom clock, all these situations happening in at the same time

21 minutes in counting

(Oh hell I hope she doesn't remember)

As miss Diane, Luke's teacher moves around the class winding up on the lesson

"....and that will mark the end of today's session,"

Luke Junior feels relieved to hear those words and slowly exhales...

"....So next week we will begin with respiration okay?..."

The class replies "YES MISS DIANE"

Having known that, the students pack up and clean their desks for a Friday evening. Miss Diane also approaches her table and collects her *teaching aids. *As both sides pack up and prepares for the weekend.

Suddenly... an unknown voice among the class students speaks out....

The Anonymous person speaks out "YOU FORGOT THE HOMEWORK MISS!!!"

Hearing that, Luke's state of being abruptly changes....

(SHIT)

Miss Diane also reacts to the message, it triggers her memory back to Tuesday and she becomes conscious of the homework she left,

"No wonder I wasn't at ease" she said

Majority of the students disappointed in what the unknown student said, some look around scanning their fellows for the traitor

Miss Diane speaks out "quiet down!! don't look so surprised and stop murmuring... anyway whoever reminded me is a good boy, at least if he's also done his homework"   "14 minutes left, just enough time to for you all to place the homework on my table and walk out the door, SO row by raw"

Luke Junior ...."I'm dead... Again"....

Among the students, some proceed murmur.... Joseph, Luke's deskmate begins a conversation with him as students begin to submit their homework at the teacher's desk.

Joseph whispers "Dude, dude, dude show me your answers for the last questions"

"Can't do that man" he replies "I didn't come with..."

"Give me a minute" Joseph asked Luke

"I just want you to know I feel so sorry for you at the moment, my modest condolences to you, I mean like no one in class would want to be in your situation" Joseph said...

Whilst their (Luke and Joseph's) conversation was reaching its climax, it was Luke's turn to submit his homework. being unaware miss Diane calls Luke's name out...

Joseph in response to miss Diane's voice he taps Luke waking him from his predictive hallucinations of the outcome forgetting his homework.

"Luke, where were you?, We don't have daydreaming in my class NOW bring my homework over here" miss Diane speaks out

Knowing that no lies in his simple mind fit the situation he's left speechless

He speaks in a little voice

"umm...Miss miss..Miss Diane"

She replies and they begin a conversation

"Yes Luke..."

Behind the scenes, Joseph speaks to himself as he enjoys the show (...This is gonna be interesting...)

"Well... I did my homework..." Luke replies

"Then do you mind bringing it over here to my desk"

"Yes, In a way" Luke replies

"What do you mean?"

Luke facing down in self disappointment, he answers miss Diane's question in a low voice

"I didn't come with"

"You are gonna have to speak louder than that"  "Be a man at least eeh"

Then it happens again.... **Anonymous person **speaks out as if Luke asked him to help out

"HE SAID HE DIDN'T COME WITH IT"

All the students burst out in laughter

**SILENCE!!!!**Miss Diane yelled out, "Now is there anyone else with a problem similar to Luke's?

Anonymous yells out again "YES, I WANNA GO PEEEEEE"

Annoyed by the irritating voice of the unknown vermin she takes a slightly long gaze around the class to spot the culprit. Unfortunately, her efforts end in vain during her search.  She moves to her desk sitting on its near edge facing the students and seriously stares at the students asking the question at the tip of her tongue

"Who said that?" She asked

This situation makes the students randomly look at each other checking for the anonymous speaker.

"On a serious note I say, if I personally catch you you'll be in serious trouble, it would be better if you made my job easier by showing yourself"

*No Response*

"(Little shit, you'll regret it the day I find you)" A statement resonating inside Miss Diane's head. "Fine all of you with issues similar to Luke will stay after the bell rings"

Then it happens...

Soon after the bell rang all the students got out leaving and two other students with the same issue.

Miss Diane nods her head signifying the students to approach her desk.

Luke knowing the outcome of the situation he gently walks over to his teacher's desk, thus do the other two follow, all in shame and personal disappointment.

"Look at yourselves" She said, "Shame on you" She said, "What excuse is you have for me today?", "Bill/Jack, do you wanna start?", She speaks again

Luke tries to speak but miss Diane disagrees, "You have a special issue my dear forgetful student, I like to save best for last" Miss Diane says

"We were sick" Bill and Jack said, it happened as if they were syncing on in each others's minds and tongues. Then Jack goes on speaking "Though I planned to do it this Thursday the sickness came again so I couldn't do it. I left it home so that I don't bring you undone work ma'am"

"Jack Jack Jack, I'm trying to believe you but I'll tell you something, I doubt that such excuse would work in heaven", Miss Diane continues speaking "Personally if I were you I wouldn't have come at all, homework is a very important part of your.... of your school lives" ,"And in addition that lie actually sucks.... a lot,I've also been a student you know"

"Luckily, you're not the main character for this afternoon, I have my most wanted right here :)", "Now Bill, Jack this doesn't happen again, you two are good boys, I feel like you are so this won't happen again now will it"

The pair look at each other and turn back to miss Diane nodding left to right

"I thought so" OK boys, you are good to go

On hearing that they get their bags and rush out of the class, they begin giggling "Huhuhu, We did it"

"I can hear you you know" Miss Diane reacts to their laughter.

"How are you feeling Luke?"

Looking down on her he tries to find a suitable excuse to seal in the cracks but as per his analysis, he sees non fits to tilt her even a little. He takes in a breath and replies to the question

"Sad, embarrassed, shame, almost everything negative and bad"

"Why didn't you bring your homework Luke?" She asked "Take a seat and let's talk"

While taking a seat he replies to miss Diane's question "I think I forgot, I forgot it at home"

Feeling sorry for Luke miss Diane exhales and changes her facial expo, she looks as if she were that friendly helper that has fallen upon Luke. "Luke, you are and should continue to be one of my best students", "So let me ask you something, "Is there something troubling you in this school?"

"No ma'am, nothing is bugging me" Luke replies

"OK then, that means the problem should be from somewhere else then, how about home? Huh! Let me guess, daddy lets you play as long as you want, maybe there's too much TV cartoons and stuff"

Hearing that he releases a shallow smile on his face then replies, "No, none of that"

"Naturally, we teachers aren't supposed to expect yeses and positive replies to such questions, I too have been a kid, If you were in my shoes you wouldn't expect me to come to you and tell you that my dad or mom is actually letting me watch too much TV" She said

"Now Luke, I want to end this problem, I know that if this goes on you might probably forget to come to school", "Not that I'm joking around but forgetting academic matters will ruin your school life and plus I don't want to not see you among the award getting students"

Luke speaks out, "Diane

She blushes

".... I'm really about what I did and I promise that on Monday I'll be the first person that you see" Luke says

"I know Luke... (Why was I born earlier than him, the way he talks just gets me, his gf is a lucky person)..... but to end this I'll have to, you know the drill"

"She'll do worse this time, ma'am is there any other way I can change this?"

"Luke, If I end this forgetting habit now you'll be good in the future days and besides I'm doing my job, let me tell you what my teachers told me.... Diane! your mom and dad are working their asses hard for you to put your *** in that seat of yours in this class, if they were living alone the needn't work as much to live but for you they have to increase their efforts up to thrice as much to balance life"

Feelings of sadness revolve around Luke, in reaction to the feeling he looks the other way.

"Look at me,"

Luke shifts back his sight to miss Diane

"You are gonna have to deal with it but you"ll thank me later, you may leave"

"Thank you for your time Luke" / "Thank you ma'am

As Luke gets up from the seat, he picks up his bag and approaches the exit

"Wait" Miss Diane speaks, "Do you know that little shit that yells out without any manners?"

After a short moment of laughter he answers her question

"No ma'am"

"Are you sure? I could ease stuff with you and her before you get home"

"Yes I am" He replies

"How about I don't tell her at all" / "Really?"

"Yeah"

Luke gracefully replies "Miss Diane, even if I knew, I'd never tell, we students have a code with us you know, I ain't snitchin' If you really were a student you should know that"

"OK then fine you got me, you may go, good luck getting home"

"Bye Luke" She says

Luke makes an impression of Miss Diane saying "Nyai Nyuk"

"Hehe... what a charming kid" Miss Diane says, she then proceeds checking the homework booklets the students submitted.

Somewhere in between out of the school and almost home, Luke Junior walks slowly along the pathway to home from the school bus point. While walking he starts to think about many things of his life. He starts to regret forgetting about the homework

"How did I forget, the whole week how did a single simple task not cross my small mind"

As he complains suddenly he finds himself near the door step of his home.

He exhales.... Hallucinations start to emerge out of his mind predicting the situation that he'll find soon after he opens the door

Lightly exhales..... "Be a man Luke, it's not so scary, Or is it? Oh hell I don't know.....

Meanwhile

Inside the house/opposite side of the door

A woman walking around the living room, randomly switching sitting poses and settling positions as she was eagerly waiting for her son to get home. Such definition and manner of unease could be compared with that of a politician awaiting for the election results to come out/Or even worse, waiting for your phone to fully charge just so you can unplug it and resume $$%&@%

"Why hasn't he come back?" Hope asks

While trying to tolerate more of his wife's blabbering about here and there as perceived by his state of being he turns to his wife and says "He'll be back calm down, it's not the first time he's gone to school" then lightly lowers his voice and continues "and it's not the last"

"What did you say?" Hope asks

"My point is honey, let's just wait a little more"

Hope hearing this she takes in a deep breath and exhales. "OK.... h..h..honey", "I'll be patient...honey"

Luke's dad sees his wife calming down.

"My beloved.....husband of man you are", Luke's wife pulls a stool near the couch where her beloved husband is seated. "My dear, Don't you fvcking 'honey' me around you hear me, now don't get me wrong I really love so much as much as I love our son but do you fvcking know how many honeymoons you would have taken me on till now, Do you understand the grade of beauty I'm in

"But My dear"

"Don't but my dear me around, let me finish, the number of dresses, all the good stuff, a room just for my own make up and not to mention we would have gone to that world class restaurant your sister owns but Noooo You said let's live the average life, until we have enough saved for our son till end of university shit"

"I miss being beyond average beautiful, so h...h...honey I appreciate this and i love you so much, i actually like this we are living but there aren't enough spices in it, anyway my point is one of us is gonna have be the strict one to our boy, don't expect me to work of some of my money and most of yours but in the light of this conversation mainly me as the MC and get an email saying my son isn't doing his homework and expect me to calm down simply by using that sexy tone of yours honey...honey...honey fvck it"

Luke's dad exhales and speaks "I understand please calm down"

"He must be pissed at me now, What do I do?" She asks herself in a low voice. the walks to the couch where her husband is seated and sits on his laps.

Husband takes a glance at her

She wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him on the forehead

"Honey" / "Yes!" / "I love you" "I love you like size of the ocean a lot"

"I know"

Silence

"Say that you love me too please"  Hope says

"I'll show you in bed h..h...h..honey"

No sooner did the main door open than did the two get conscious about it. "He's back dear"

Hope gets up from Luke's laps and turns to the main door. Just after Luke Junior finds his way in, His dad speaks to him

"Welcome back son...."

"Hello big man, How was school? I bet it was exciting" Hope says

"Thank you" Luke Jr. said, "It was nice" Luke Jr. said.

After that situation Luke Jr. goes to the dining room for a snack as always. He too notices the unnaturalness of the way things always are and it comes to his mind that Miss Diane has already broke the eggs.

Then suddenly,....

"Luke, could you come upstairs to your room, there's some stuff I wanna show you" Says Hope

"OK, mom I'll be right there" He replies. "Oh no, it's already happening, I better prepare myself now, I hope she doesn't take the laptop"

Soon after Luke goes upstairs, True at some point his hallucinations were almost accurate. Continuous scolding and shallow yelling went on as their conversation proceeded in Luke Junior's room.

Still goes on...

Finally, Luke's dad sees Hope approaching her direct from Luke Junior's room, She sits on a couch opposite to her husband and they stare at each other for a while.

Exhales

Hope speaks first

"Parenting eeh, what are you looking at?, It's your turn, I've done my share"

After smiling as a reaction to what his wife said, he gets out of the couch and walks straight to his son's room. When he gets there by the door, he sees Luke pitifully sitting on his bed being all sad and everything related to unhappiness. He decides to walk in after seeing such scene.

After sitting on Luke's bed he begins conversation with his son

"Hi son" He says

Silence

Luke Junior lightly exhales

"Hmph, what did she take away this time?" Dad asks

"Laptop" He replied, "Dad!"

"Talk to me"

"Dad, why do we forget?

Luke's dad holds himself by the chin and looks around the room as if he were scanning for answer then he replies...

"It happens but most certainly when we consider other things more than the others maybe"

"I know", Luke Junior replies then goes on "But how are you and mom so perfect?", "She remembers almost everything about me and still keeps up with most of her duties, then there's you, I don't know how it would be if you forgot to pay the electricity bill"

"Son!,....Listen carefully" He takes in a deep breath and continues to talk, "Have you taken a shower?"

"No, not yet!" / "OK, Let's do it this way, Do you have any plans for tomorrow?

"None that I can remember" Luke Junior replies

"Are you joking with yourself?, That would have made an amazing joke if I told it" Says Luke's Dad

Once Luke realizes the awkwardness of his statement related to his forgetting problem he rushes to correct himself

"No no no, I didn't mean that way," Luke says

"Don't worry, I know what you meant, Anyway since you are free me and you have along talk, I hope I don't bore you, So at some point if I do be sure to tell me" Says Dad

"What"s it about? Are you gonna talk about the government again?" / "Since when do I talk about the government bra? I don't remember drinking anytime around" / "No it was that one time I asked you to help me with homework and I also didn't know it reached that matter in our conversation but anyway, I let you finish"/

"Besides, politics are boring, they were actually made for boring people like your mom but don't tell her that"

From outside the room just behind the door to Luke's room Hope hears what her husband says and lightly giggles.

("What a husband, I'll settle here and see how you parent your son, maybe I was too rough, I'll be rougher next time then he'll be cooler, but then again I'll look like the bad person in his life, you know what, Life Is Unfair, It'll Never Be Fair Ugh, What %&^*)

Back inside

"So dad, what does our conversation have to with my plans for tomorrow?" Luke inquires

"You'll see, like I said it'll take a while and I wanted to make sure that I don't be your excuse when you fail your plans.... Ohh and your mom will probably remember to check if you've taken a shower" Dad says

"Good point" Luke replies

On hearing that Luke Junior rushes out of the bed and prepares to shower. Luke remembers how his mom told him to be arranged and clean up his room. His Dad notices him walking around his room picking up stuff and putting them in the right order, "This could a take a while and mom wants him to learn it the hard way" He told himself.

"Hey Luke" Dad speaks

On catching Luke's attention he continues "OK this is how we are gonna do it, while you are showering, arranging and folding stuff, I'll be talking like the background narrator, not like this shitty British narrators all complex English and stuff"

("I like the fact that you are letting my boy do this work on his own but mind your language you shithead of a man I love Luke" Hope slightly speaks to herself)

("I have no shitty idea where my dad is going at with whatever this is but he seems pretty, I dunno let me just listen because he told me to be honest with how I feel about it, I hope it's not the life lectures that they give us even if we sneeze and accidentally forget to close our mouth" Luke contends with his mind)

Luke speaks out "OK Dad I'll listen if I miss a thing I'll let you know"

"Fine fine...fine where do I begin? where do I begin? where do I begin? Oho OK got it, it was once upon a time some years ago before you existed" Luke's Dad speaks

"Very funny" Luke Junior replies

"Before all this I want you to know that my name is also Luke"

"Figures, I always wondered why you called me Luke Junior, Now I'm sure" Luke Jr. replies

Luke's Dad continues to speak "Anyways, there was a Luke, yeah, Luke was probably younger or older than you, I dunno, I dunno but at some point you look older than him, or is it young, nah maybe technology and science affects age, and 18 year old can look like a 30+, this world now-days"

"Oho, I might have started the boring, well let's proceed, Like you, Luke also had a mom, a grumpy one actually, a grumpy mom and a dad too"

In the background

"Typical Luke" says Hope.

Dad proceeds "We lived in a house, we ate, slept, woke up, played, laughed but most of all Luke was...... IRRESPONSIBLE...

Luke Jr. reacts

"Really!!!!!!" Luke Junior lively asks

"Well it depends on if you want me to continue or it's boring" Luke's dad replies

"PLEASE CONTINUE" Luke begs

Seeing as how he's caught his attention he prepared to shame himself in front of his son with his childhood mistakes and flaws "I hope this is good parenting, maybe he'll learn from his dad's mistakes" He says to himself. Hmph "Continue I shall but aren't we forgetting something?"

Luke suddenly remembers that he's supposed to take a shower so he rushes in to the bathtub, "Dad, No, narrator!! I hope your voice is loud enough" Says Luke Jr.

Back outside Luke's room

Hope receives a text message on her phone, the message is from the social women's and mom's club.

As Hope picks up her phone to read the message, she notices that it is one of the members who is reminding her to go to a meeting

"You are gonna be late for the meeting, it's almost 4:30 pm" Hope reads from the screen of the phone. "Ugh, I can't make it today, what excuse should I use for today, the usual one"

Hope decides to reply Mrs. Swiftburg that she is busy for today and can't come.

Puts phone back down on floor and continues to focus on her husband's and son's conversation

Vibration... Vibration... Vibration. Mrs. Swiftburg replies to Hope's message

" So persistent she is" Hope speaks to herself. While thinking of what to do she in kind of sequences rolls her eyes over while holding her right cheek with the palm of her hand. As this situation continues....

She receives another message

"Ow damn, why did I have to reply". The current text message reads, "Stop that rubbish attitude and come here"

Hope types in "M a r k a s r e a d" and immediately after sending she turns off her phone and returns her concentration back to Luke and Luke Junior's conversation again

While listening on in her mind contends with her past decision of letting Some woman (Mrs. Swiftburg) sign her up to be a part of that club she in the least of reasons gives a damn about

She drives her attention back to the conversation in Luke's room

".... yeah son" Luke's dad continues to speak "I was also, kinda, in a way, somehow...."

"IRRESPONSIBLE" Luke Junior dives in

"Yes son, that word... It too long, how about we use I word, yeah let's call it the I word"

"Which is irresponsible right?" The boy speaks again.

Temper is such a bad thing, Luke's dad tells himself, Was I really this irritating when I was his age? 🤔

"You don't have to rub it in, besides you're doing it better"

In reaction to his dad's statement, Luke devilishly smiles and loads a line in his head...

"Got your genes old man, we are typically the same"

Luke, takes a look at his son, subconsciously speaking to himself he continues

You think that because I gave your mom a good time and you being the result we are the same...

Coincidentally his intent to reply that way increased at a rate that his subconscious took control of his tongue making him speak most of the sentences

*Hope hears low voice as if someone was slightly murmuring

She listens in closely*...

"#%_ k..k we be the same? I'm way older than you, I got a hot sexy as f wife and a jacuzzi in my bedroom while you haven't even started to tease girls yet...

Luke exhales and makes a pose which he sees fit to parent his son.

He crosses his legs, leaving his left elbow balanceand support his torso, the palm of his hand lay majestically on the upper thigh, chin up and stares at his son

As expected but not forseen or considered, the pose catches Luke Junior's attention

He begins to speak...

"Forgetting isn't a sin my boy, but it can be a bad thing if it happens frequently, but then again it also reminds someone that he or she does a lot of things probably with the schedule in his head, not in paper"

Dramatic pause

"Now here's the juicy bit, all those things you do, can some of them be rescheduled or sacrificed,... I mean eliminated. If you want to know this stuff you'd have to sit down and maybe write it on paper, from there you may be able to sort out the important ones, the less important... "

"You should know that at some point, the less important ones may be larger in number than and even use more time than the important ones"

"And what's more, In my point of view the less important ones are naturally more fun too"

Luke Junior speaks "That I understand"

"So we're getting somewhere..." Luke continues "Luke, you are old enough to know this, if you feel that you forget too much, you might want to schedule your day, me and mom would LOVE to help you"

"The more important things are really booooring 😫😫😫😫, get this, say we plan to play, Call Of Duty and I remember the game but forget to pay the electric bill, when you sit down and think of the damage done, you'd consider forgetting Call Of Duty rather than the electric bill"

"I personally realized how bad cold pizza tasted one day and that would be bad if it happens again" Hmph "hell I can imagine flipping the warm water switch in the bathroom and pressured cold water beating on her skin in the shower"

"She won't let me sleep well, But anyway you get my point,

"Yes I do" Son replies

"I want you to understand that it's possible you schedule your time for things that are less useful, here's the thing, say you keep forgetting to do important things like your homework you might not be able to pass the next class"

Son bugs in "But I forgot it once, it's not like it's a routine to me!!!!! Why are people like this???"

Luke again subconsciously talks to himself again "Hmm, I know this feeling, where you do it once but it is perceived as daily routine, ugh memories"

"Boy oh boy, that happens but anyway don't worry I believe you", "You're having it easy, this one time I did forget to do my homework so I tried to complete it at school, just then when the teacher saw me do it, oh gosh he was like"

"SO THIS WHERE YOU DO ALL YOUR HOMEWORK FROM!!!, THIS COULD BE WHY YOUR GRADES ARE BAD AND YOUR OVERALL PROGRESS IS POOR, I should tell the other teachers"

"Boy, none of them ever believed that reason of mine, Do you know how bad it is being kept an eye by the principal? It felt like spilling food was no different from committing murder" "Well that ended when I passed all my exams hehe"

Hope on seeing the scenery made her think as if her chances of a trail love life were snatched by a thing.

This makes her rush to him and burst their bubble, furiously reacting to Luke's sister, Hope jumps in on questions.

The conflict ends up as Hope sees, and in turn actually believes that the other lady there was Luke's sister, Luke's blood sister that is to say. After confirming they greet each other again....

...Return to reality...

"Good memories, hehe" Luke speaks "Anyway, my point is we all have to face it, I dunno, maybe some people naturally hate us and or so love us too much so, it's better we see how it goes"

Exhales...

"My boy, I've bored you enough, I think, let's talk about more of me and less of you eeeh"

"In three, two, four, random number, ......go!!!"

Luke's dad, Luke Knight begins the tale of his childhood to his son.

He finally starts the real conversation that Luke Junior was waiting for. It goes something like this "Djeuru fifjch rifbeb pjkom ardviek teweue........"

*Suddenly the scenery changes into a new different world, Luke travels back to his childhood where his flaws were large in number and he less liked some parts of his life but in way dealt with them

Windvane twirping sound...

Bicycles, all with their cyclists on their seats..... All of them at the start line all waiting for the GO signal..... Each cyclist with their bikes fully serviced l and air pumped, brakes fixed and each their leg on a peddle..... Sweat flowing down the face..... Heartbeats beating even harder..... A short crowd on the sidelines waiting and cheering on their riders*.....

The race host standing by the sidelines with his blow horn checks his list and checks with his assistants

He (Derrick Posner, classmate in Luke's class, slightly strict but charming and friendly upon interests) then speaks out

"OK, in this round only Luke, Steve, Isac, Muh'd and Joe remain"

The side liners all fascinated by how far the competition would go, all their interest goes onto this round.

The competitors all keep in mind that their prize is still fresh and awaiting them; 10 minutes in a room with their classroom sweetheart

On the start line, Luke takes a short glance at their prize and diverts his concentration back to his bike.

"Don't worry" Such a voice comes from one of the other competitors talking in sheer confidence to Luke "I'll win it for you"

"You won't win this round, I've seen how have trouble maintaining your balance at the corners, it's your weak spot, You care too much about your safety instead of letting the physics protect you..... that's weakness, that's how I'll make this round"

Soon after Luke leaves and reaches the washroom, he let's it out pouring like that rain that was so eager to shower.

From nowhere, a mosquito flies by around Luke as he nears completion of what he was doing.

"Buzz....buzz....buzzz" It continues to fly around then it finds anchor on Luke's ear pinnae. Luke nodes his head chasing it,

The mosquito comes back again, it lands at the same place. Luke vigorously nodes assuming that the mosquito understood that he doesn't want to be bugged, "Leave me and find another place" he says

The mosquito repeats the same thing. "You're so persistent eh, you believe that having wings makes you free?" "Let me teach you despair in its simplest way"

Luke assumes he is stable to let the fly be steady and still. After that his arm bulges and twitches swarming energy and intent to end the mosquito's life.
