Angels Creed

The Land After Death

I awaken in a place full of light. I don't understand how I got here. I look at my hands and when I do, I can see straight through them. "Transparent hands?" I say softly to myself. I take another look at my surroundings. "Where am I?" I ask to myself.

"You are in the land after death young Uzaki." I hear the voice of a person behind me. I turn around but I am unable to see his face.

"Who are you?" I ask. The person doesn't answer.

"You Uzaki, have committed sins but not enough to be sent straight to hell. Instead you have been given a second chance." Now I start to get worried. How does this person know my name and what I have done in my life? Am I truly dead? "Follow me Uzaki." The figure then reaches out his hand and all of a sudden, I am floated up into the air.

"What the hell is going on!?" I say.

"Probably shouldn't say that. You are dead after all." He answered the question that I was wondering ever since waking up here. "All your questions will be answered soon enough. You must be patient." I have no choice but to listen to what the man says. Now that I think about it, he might not even be a "he" at all. I am unable to see the persons face due to a bright glow around it. I decide to ask.

"Hey, I have a question. Are you a guy or a girl?" I realize how rude I am by saying this but I for some reason felt really bothered by not knowing. If the person was a she and I had been calling her a he this entire time then that would be even more rude.

"All questions will be answered when we get to our destination." I get annoyed at the fact that the person refused to answer my questions.

"You know, you could at least answer my question. It's not that hard of a question is it?"

"All questions will be answered when we arrive at our destination." This person was impossible to get through too.

"Asshole." I mumble to myself.

"Please refrain from using such language here." I look up and gasp in surprise.

"How did you hear that!?" I ask.

"All questions will be answered-"

"Yeah, yeah I know. Let's just hurry this up." I keep my mouth shut the entire trip but my mind had different ideas. My mind was racing with questions. How did I end up here? Am I truly dead? If I am truly dead then how did I die? All of these questions continue to go through my mind. My thoughts are then interrupted by the voice of the stranger.

"We have arrived." The person then drops their arm and I am slammed to the ground face-first.

"Ow! Put me down more gently next time!" I rub my nose and look up at where we are. "Whoa! What is this place!? It's huge!"

"This is the organization of angels headquarters. As of today, you are an official member." This was then the start of my journey as a member of the organization of angels.

Entering the unknown

I stand up and take a look around me. There is a giant fortress like structure right in front of me. I gape my mouth open in shock at how tall the structure is. "What the hell is this place?" I mumble silently to myself.

"This is the organization of angels headquarters. And again, please refrain from saying that word here." The stranger says.

"Why don't you refrain from being so bossy!" I yell at the person. Without another word, the glowing stranger motions for me to follow. I stand up and do as the person wanted. I decide to try and ask again the question that had been pondering me since meeting the person. "Are you a woman or a man? I need to know this." The person then stops in their tracks and slowly, the light around it began to fade until there stood, a young girl with short blonde hair, a long white dress, and beautiful hazel pupils. I can only stare in awe as the girl spoke.

"I am the leader of the organization of angels and the one who has been here the longest out of the organizations members." I continue to stand there looking dumbfounded at the girl. I heard what she said but no words came out of my mouth. It is only when she turned around when I finally forced words out of my mouth.

"W-What is the organization of angels about!?" I say yelling in a voice that sounded like I was yelling with a sore throat. The girl didn't even turn around to answer my question.

"All the rest shall be found out when we step inside." I let out a sound of annoyance at the fact that she had avoided another one of my questions. I decide it wasn't worth whining about and continue to follow her. We get up to a giant door with a strange design covering a large part of the door. It had a shield with a halo over it and inside the shield, there was an angel with outstretched arms with her eyes closed. I stand there, dumbfounded, wondering what the design could mean but I knew that if I asked, no answers would come out of that girls mouth. She put her hand on the door and it creaked open. I cover my ears and eyes at the sound of how loud it was. When I open my eyes and walk inside, I stand there and look in awe at how big the building was. There was at least six doors in each side of the building. The girl walks over to one of the doors and opens it. "Feel free to explore until you are called. I say you probably have an hour or so until we get everything ready. Have fun." The girl says to me with no emotion.

"Thaaaanks." I say in a sarcastic tone. She closes the door behind her leaving myself in the giant castle on my own. I look at all the doors and ponder over what each one leads to. I walk close to one of the doors and when I get close enough, I see words describing what laid beyond the door. "City?" I say curiously. I gently open the door and when I step through it, I see a bustling town with lots of people all wearing the same costume. They have houses, shops, streets, cars, everything that you would expect to find in a city. "Wow..." I say in shock. I walk around for about forty-five minutes taking a look at all the buildings and enjoying the scenery. I then walk through the door back to the giant room. I then walk to another door and read what it says. "Weapons?" It didn't take me long to figure out what it must have been so I walk in expecting to see swords, bow and arrows, and plenty of other stuff most people in my era used, Instead what I saw were tiny balls of light, all with different prices. "What are these!?" I ask the person manning the register. He had the same clothes as those people I saw in the city.

"These are spirit weapons. They are special weapons that most people within the organization use to complete their missions. Depending on the price, your weapon could be a gun or a wooden sword." I look at all of the spirits weapons and then the prices over them. The price tags have a strange sign that I had never seen before. I look at the person at the register again and ask him about it.

"What does this sign here mean?" The man then answers.

"That is the currency here within the organization. They are called markers. You can gain markers from missions or gain them from working within the city." I nod my head and get ready to look around again when suddenly, a big glow of light surrounds me and I am teleported into a big room I haven't seen yet. I look and see five different people standing around the room. One of them is the girl who showed me this place. The girl then walks up to me and says something.

"Welcome. Let me introduce you to five of the thirteen members of the "Boundary Protectors". A group in which you will be stationed with during your time here with the organization of angels." This started a spiral of events that made me realize and value the idea and meaning of friendship and teamwork.

Meeting The Boundary Protectors

I stand there confused. I had just got news that I would be working with a group within the organization of angels known as the boundary protectors. While it sounded cool, I didn't know what the boundary protectors did or who they were. How could I work with people I had never even met before? The girl points to a man with spiky blue hair. His hands were wrapped in white tape and he had an eye patch covering his left eye. "This is Romann. He is the muscle of the boundary protectors. He quite surprisingly though, has a flexible temper. He doesn't get angry easily." Romann waves at me with one hand without changing his facial expression. I wave back at him. Once Romann sits down, the girl then points to another person. He had slicked back black hair with a yellow streak on both sides of his hair. He had a tattoo of what looked like a woman on his hand and wore the same suit as the other members. "This is Astral. He has a unique ability which allows him to create lightning from anywhere so long as there is electricity in the area. He is the smartest in the group and likes to read novels on his free time." He reaches out a hand and we exchange a handshake. The woman then points to a small girl who had pink hair that was tied into two pigtails. She had the organization of angels crest embedded on her forehead. "This is Kimori. She is the youngest member in the entire organization. She has a strange ability which allows her to control certain elemental powers based on how she is feeling at that moment. She has pretty frequent mood swings but she is very dependable and loyal to the organization." I blink in confusion. This was getting to be too much to take in. Even so, I continue to listen to what the woman was saying. She then points to another girl who was fairly tall. About double the size of the previous girl the woman had mentioned. She had long blue hair tied into a ponytail. She had a necklace with the letters MYI on it. I wonder what it stood for? "This is Crescilia. She is the information gatherer for not only the boundary protectors but for the entire organization. Her height makes her good at spotting things and her ability is known as the all seeing eye. She can see beyond walls, layers, and even the boundary whenever she wanted to." The woman walks up to me with a smile on her face and looks at me up and down. "You're pretty weak for someone who looks cool." I scowl at Crescilia but decide to not say anything back. There was one more member that the girl hadn't introduced. She had dark hair on one side and green hair on the other that was put up in a ponytail. She had mismatched shoes, mismatched socks, and mismatched gloves. It was a big jumble of colors. "This is Koko but we call her Fudan because she is very indecisive. She has the ability to read the threat level each creature holds and can calculate the best way to defeat the foe. Although, she tends to second guess herself to the point where we just go with the first idea she has. That's five of the members of the boundary protectors introduced. The other eight, you will be able to meet later. They had a mission to do but it shouldn't take them long to get back. That's all. You can leave now." The woman turns around and that's when I finally speak.

"Didn't you forget to introduce someone? Yourself?" The woman turns around and sighs.

"My name is Sarada and I am the leader of the organization of angels. I command the entire organization and fight off sinners, phantoms and even keep members from "waking". I look at her in confusion and ask Sarada another question.

"What is waking?"

"Waking is when people disappear from this world on their own will. If they wish to leave, I try and convince them to stay because we don't want to lose the friends that we have made here. Sometimes, no matter how hard I try, there is no stopping some people from waking." Sarada looked troubled for a moment but quickly put back on her serious face. "I must ask for you to leave." I nod my head and get ready to walk out the door when I hear a buzzing sound and a telegram shows up in front of the room. It showed a person wearing a cowboy hat with a mustache and slick black hair with it sticking up from the sideburns. He looked troubled. "What's wrong Sven?" Asked Sarada.

"It's gotten bad leader! We had the phantoms on the ropes but more of them came out of nowhere and now we are heavily outnumbered! We need assistance, pretty please!?" Sven put on a wry smile while in a serious situation. Sarada just nods and closes the telegram. She then turns her attention back to us.

"I am going to need you six to go out and assist the others in their battle with the phantoms at the boundary. Report to me if anything goes wrong, got it?" They all nod their heads and rush out. I quickly follow them. While I was gone, Sarada had a conversation with herself. "It's gotten worse. These attacks have become more frequent. His power is draining. It is getting much more dangerous here. It's only a matter of time before we have to abandon this world, but that time is not now." The six of us run out of the gates and head toward where the others were. When we get there, I see a sight that I couldn't believe.
