It was my first day of high school and I was late. Damnit. 

When I woke up the clock was showing 8am and silly me thought it was off time so I laid back down have a little extra. Until my mom started banging on the door and yelling at me to get my lazy *** out of bed or I'll be late.

Once I was up, I rushed to the bathroom dropping clothes as I went, to take a quick shower. On my way out I slipped and fell landing right on my ***.

Oh. God ...that hurt.

But nothing could hurt more than Mrs.Bearass' s scolding for being late. She's my homeroom teacher and man she's harsh. Don't wanna get on that woman's bad side. Anyways after getting dressed ran out of the House ignoring my mom's Calls, blaming the door on the way out.

Something about eating breakfast, well Breakfast can kiss my *** because there's no way in hell I'm gonna have the bear eating my *** for reaching late once again like the one time back in middle school .

Ugh! I don't even wanna think about it. It was that horrible.

Seems Alec was still in the house when I ran over to her front gate. Her house was right next to mine. She's also my best friend or more like a little sister, we grew up together.

"Alecc! Get your *** out here now. We're gonna be late"

She poked her head out the window with a silly grin on her face "yeah, I'm coming"

I look at her with a raised brow "don't tell me you've been reading manga again"

Her eyes widened slightly, she looked surprised " ho-?" "Seriously Alec, I've known you all my life and you're really gonna ask me that" I shoke my head "just hurry up and get down here"

"Kay gimme a minute" she closed the window.

A whole two minutes later and Alec was just exiting the house and I was just two minutes away from exploding.

"Alright I'm out!" she announced walking towards me with a skip in her step.

"Well took you long enough" she knew I didn't like to wait but yet still she kept me waiting. ***.

"Let's get going or were gonna be late" I said turning and making a run for it in the direction of the school, Alec right on my heels "don't want the bear biting our asses again".

She laughed "Yeah we don't want that".

Eagle High was right pass the pet park around the conor so it won't take us more than five minutes to get to gates before they close and into the class before Mrs.Bearass starts roll call.

Something caught my eye while running past the park, so I stopped; Alec already passed me on the way.

It was a weird looking guy that I haven't seen around this area before. So I couldn't help it I just had to stop. From the back he looked like he was about 17 or 18 years old, I couldn't see his face, his pitch black hair that glistened in the sun and he wasn't wearing a uniform.

He had broad shoulders that I so badly wanted to touch. 

"damn" I ended up whispering.

He was just standing there and it seemed like he was looking at a little kitty that was cleaning its paws; black body and white paws. 

Then he knelt next to it placing his bag on the grass next to him and began petting the kitty and I was surprised it didn't scratch or bite him.

Weird. Strays always bite.

Rii-ka, Helloou, did you forget that were late for school?" I didn't even realize how long I was staring until Alec said that, waving her both hands in my face; she was taller than me by a few inches so she had to bend a little to get in my face.

"Oh" was all I could manage to say as I stumbled back a bit. 

Alec didn't bother asking what was wrong, she just grabbed my arm and tugged me along but I couldn't stop looking at him even though I was only looking at his broad shoulders and firm back that I oh soo wanted to touch.

I just couldn't get enough and to make things worse at that moment his turned to stare in my direction almost as if he knew I was looking at him and we locked eyes for a moment, it wasn't long but I could have sworn that his eyes were red. 

Blood red.

Weird. But then again I could be wrong because I was distracted by Alec pulling on my arm.

It wasn't long again before we passed through the open gates of Eagle High and running through the empty halls to get to class when Alec started with the questions.

"Who was that guy anyways? Haven't seen anyone like that around here before"

"Donno, but ..... I wonder if I'll see him again" I mumbled the last part slowing to a stop at our class room door.

"Well this is a surprise!!" Alec squealed, bouncing on her heels. "My Rika's finally showing an interest in someone of the opposite sex"

I pinched her arm "oh shut up!!! You know that not it" 

"ouch" I was satisfied now.

She's just so annoying sometimes. I pushed open the door and I stepped in, Alec right behind. The whole class erupted in whispers and mumbles as we stepped in and the home room teach; Mrs. Bearass as I expected.

"O.M.G isn't that Rika and Alectra!!" was how the whispers started.

"They're SOOO hot" the boys in the back said. "Such dolls"

"So the rumor is true then?? They are the dolls of Eagle High"

You see we kind of have a reputation here at Eagle high; were called the Dolls of Eagle High. I rolled my eyes at that 'donno what sick person with that name but Alec seems to love it'.

"They look so much alike" ah that too, people tend to think were related but of course were not we look completely different except for the fact that our beauty is out of this world.

 Alec's eyes are a baby blue while mines are the color of the setting sun and her hair is a brilliant blonde and mine a brilliant black with a strip of white to the top middle.

"Ah it nice of you girls to join us before roll call" oh it was the teacher. I forgot about her.

"Yes Mrs. Bear, it's nice to see you too. Morning everyone!!" it was Alec who spoke. I rolled my eyes again when everyone began shouting greeting excitedly.

 I was about to push Alec towards our seats when I felt someone standing behind me too close for comfort. 

But ...it somehow felt nice.

"You're in my way" the words were whispered in my ear, it made me shiver and my spine tingly. So on reflex I spun and back handed him across the face.

Yes him, the cat guy.

 I gasped, covering my mouth with my hands 'oh no. no no no, look what I did when I finally met him again and so soon too' but the shocked look on his face was priceless and I dare say kinda cute too. I almost smiled.

Almost

"I'm so sorry!!!"

"Don't worry about it" now he looked amused and I felt like slapping him again just for the fun of it. And Lord help me his voice was to die for, my knees almost buckled there for a minute and to make matters worse his red eyes lingered on me for a while longer than necessary before he walked past me into the class ignoring Mrs. Bear's scolding for coming in late after the first bell.

I released a breath I didn't realize I was holding.

So I was right then, his eyes are red but before I could have sworn they were a more of a bloody red. I sighed

"Maybe it was just my imagination" I mumbled to myself.

But when I looked in his direction where he was seated at the back of the class near one of the windows, he was staring right at me and once again I could have sworn the red of his eyes grew a tad darker as we locked eyes for the second time, until he broke it to look out the window.

"Alright girls, get to your seats" Mrs. Bearass said pointing to the two only available seats in the class near the windows on the left, right in front of him.

I sighed, shaking my head a bit.

Alec took my arm and tugged me to our seats.

She took the one in front and I obviously had no other choice but to get seated in the middle, with him just a few spaces behind.

Another sigh

Everyone was all settled in when the teacher began roll call which I zoned out on and only came to at the end when she mentioned something about a new student.

"Ok everyone we got a new student starting today, Transferred here from England." Everyone gasped and they could all guess who she was referring to as they all turned to look at him.

I rolled my eyes at that and I didn't dear turn around.

"Sebastian do mind introducing yourself to your class mates" the teacher said trying to gain his attention since it seemed like he was more focused on outside that what was happening inside.

"Sebastian" she tried again

"Sebastian" again and I could tell she was losing her cool. The first day nice teacher act was vanishing.

I laughed at that.

Alec must have heard me because she too giggled at that.

"SEB- no" she began but was cut off when he spoke.

"No?" She repeated but he didn't respond.

She looked like she was about to explode when the other kids in the class began snickering softly at her embarrassment, so she ended roll call there and left the classroom stomping and slamming the door shut on the way out.

Just then the classroom erupted in laughter, Alec and I joining in as well.

And just for that moment I had no thoughts of a certain someone on my mind.
