Life makes us do things we hate the most. The same happened to Rosaleen Moore. She hated holy edifice of the church ever since her father died, her mother promised never to bring her there again but destiny played it's role. There stood Rosaleen just outside the foyer of the church, debating if it was necessary to go inside. She sighed and stepped in. Michelle, her mother died of a suspected heart attack. To die such a death is so painful but her mother had that faint smile on her face. Rosaleen stood just beside the casket, her arm crossed, placed over her torso.

She succeeded in not acting insane in front of so many family members but deep inside her every feeling was tangled. Aunt Linda, one of her closest family members, tried her best to comfort her. Some of them even offered her help with money and shelter but Rosaleen clearly denied, she never wanted to be a burden on anybody. After the burial and seeing off everybody, she turned around to bid one last goodbye to her mother.

"Hello?" She called out to the black figure standing there. As soon as she started taking quick steps it disappeared.

"I'm okay" She said to herself to control those feelings which were making her see things.

After a crappy weekend full of weeping, Rosaleen decided to finally stop weeping and get a part time job. So, it was decided that she would roam around the city after college.

After a couple of minutes, she was in the college, her eyes desperately searching for the one person, Stacy, her best friend. Stacy was at times, rude to her but she never took her seriously until today.

Rosaleen made her way through the crowd to the familiar short figure but she slowed down after seeing the person beside her. She pulled her arm.

"Hey, Stace what are you doing with him?" She said sternly her grip on her arm tightened.

"Get the hell off me and I'm talking with my boyfriend!" She shouted violently pulling her arm away.

"You're what?" Said Rosaleen wishing that her ears were mistaken.

"B-O-Y-F-R-I-E-N-D. Boyfriend!" She spelled it for her and smiled. The whole hall turned their eyes to the three of them.

Rosaleen slapped Stacy hard across her face and grabbed her jaw.

"Hey, Hey. Back off!" A pair of hands made her hit her back hard on the wall.

It was Alton Palpatine , popularly know as Ton, is the evil man slut, ready to make out with anyone, anywhere. Rose always had a problem with them being together because he causes trouble wherever he goes. He has many criminal records including murder, but he was always left well enough because his father holds a powerful position in the city, also, he screwed with her sister and left her to die with the baby in her womb.

"You stay away from her" Said he lifting her up by her jaw. She struggled under his strong grip, gasping for breath. He smirked and left her, causing her to fall on straight on the hard floor. Now you think that this news is going to the dean right? Of course not! The dean of the college was beaten in the middle of the road just because he summoned Ton to his office.

"What are you looking at jokers?" He turned around and shouted at the people. Everybody downcast their gaze and walked off the hall.

"Baby, I am right after you" He placed a hand on Stacy's shoulder. Stacy shot a look at her showing no care and she left leaving Ton and Rosaleen.

"YOU!" Said he as he walked towards her. She shrank back more and more until she reached the corner. He bent as low as her, sitting on his toes, running his fingers through her hair, her heart throbbed heavily against her chest. What is he going to do to her?

"I am sorry about your mother" He said pressing her arm.

"It's absolutely okay, no problem..hehe..I have to go!" She tried to escape but he made her sit again.

"Look, stay out of it. Let me do what I want because there are lot of hungry boys in here" He gently rubbed her hand on her thighs.

One early morning, Rose got off her bed, she went downstairs yawning ,still half asleep. She stopped as she saw a tall figure washing dishes, he placed the last dish as neatly and perfectly as the rest. He turned around. He a slender body, lean chest, good torso, not very well developed biceps but he looked strong enough. He had a round face.

"Umm..Coffee?" He lifted a cup and smiled a little.

She crossed her arms.

"And who are you?"

"Not a good way to greet your guests" He placed her coffee mug on the table.

He had a round face with blueish green eyes, a small nose, a broad upper lip, he wore piercings. Good complexion, perfect jawline and a blonde, of course, he was attractive.

"Don't worry I'm gay" He raised his hands.

"Get out!" She said smiling.

"Okay fine! My name's Adrian Atkins and I'm your new roommate" He took a seat. She stood surprised for a while.

"Coffee...." He looked at her.

"Hmm..How did they send your here or wait did you come here all by yourself?" She said placing herself on the couch. He walked up to her with her coffee mug.

"I have anxiety issues and I don't like girls and guys buzzing around me like bees. I like to be by myself. So, I did some research on you and gradually found you'd a perfect roommate" He smiled placing himself beside her.

"Hmm...taking the perfect coffee and the dishes into consideration, with all my heart. You are welcomed to Amityville" She smiled.

"Sweet!" He muttered.

"By the way, I will make us some sandwiches real quick, so go wash yourself up you have a lot of places to show me" He winked.

She smiled.

"Can I call you Rose if you don't mind?"

"Sure"

After a good breakfast both of then left for their college. Surprisingly, both of them were together in all the subjects except one, Rose had English while Adrian had Spanish but they still had enough time to be together.

"And that's how I shooed my boyfriend away" Adrian laughed. Rose laughed harder, almost falling off her chair. It was their lunch time they sat on the corner most table munching onto their breads. Though, Adrian was the centre of attraction today but he separated himself from the crowd to sit with Rose.

"Meet me near the basketball court and we'll see what to do" Said Rose picking up her bag.

"See you later then" Adrian said waving her a goodbye.

She smiled and left.

While Adrian was picking up his bag he noticed a guy staring at him, he didn't even look away for a second. It creeped him out and he left for his class.

"Hey Rose! Want to come over for movie tonight?" A friend of hers said as she was keeping her books in her locker.

"Not if Ton is invited" She replied.

"What is going on between you two?" Her friend almost shouted at her.

"Oh sorry Shirley. I am busy. Goodbye!" She smiled. Her friend left fuming.

"Damn! Where's my I-CARD!" She muttered.

"Found it!"

She closed her locker and a familiar figure appeared beside her from nowhere. Rose tried to pass by him with saying anything but is that ever possible?

"Hey Rose! I'm sorry about that day. I shouldn't have scared you" Ton said holding her hands.

"Have I mentioned that you're a big time jerk?" He pulled her hands away from his grip and walked away. She hurried to the basketball court but couldn't find Adrian. She put her hand in her pocket.

"Where's my phone?" She hurriedly checked all the pockets and her bag.

"Looking for something?"

"Ton, give it back to me!" Rose warned him. Ton slammed down her phone, breaking it into several tiny pieces.

"You were very fond of sending voice messages to my girlfriend right? " He laughed and kicked a piece far away.

"Oh Ton! Don't you think it's time for buying a new phone?" Said Adrian jumping upon Ton's phone. He had quietly snooped around what was going on, he tip toed to Ton and took out his phone from his jeans while signalling Rose to keep silent.

Adrian picked it up, dusting it a little.

"Now you can buy yourself a new one!" he said chuckling. He gave it to Ton.

"How dare you bony pants!" He grabbed Adrian's collar lifting him up in the air. Adrian wasn't yet aware of Ton's strength. He kicked and struggled.

"Please, don't hurt me. I'm sorry" Adrian looked straight into Ton's eyes. Ton scoffed.

He puts him down and walked off disgusted.

"I don't believe this!" Rose exclaimed. She was quite taken aback when Ton didn't knock Adrian down. It was almost evening, they finished their studies and were sitting on the couch next to each other. Relaxing.

"Good to know that you're not as nerdy as I heard of you" He chuckled.

"My phone's gone!" She cried dallying the sim card that she had found beneath several broken pieces.

"You.....  Excuse me!"  his phone buzzed. He picked up but no one answered then there was a loud screeching sound, then a girl answered sobbing and rambling about giving the phone to Stacy. Rose knew something was up. He gave the phone to Stacy.

"Stacy, I knew you would call. Are you okay?"

"Rose...help me. Come over to Ton's...house. He is not a human...he is a we..olf.. Rose save me please!" Stacy spoke hurriedly.

"Listen to me very carefully, hide yourself and stay strong"

"Rose...I love you" She said sobbing and hung up.

"We have to hurry Ad" Stacy grabbed his car keys.

"I'm coming with you"

She drove the car and went on a speed rampage.

"How are we going inside his house?" Adrian asked.

"I know a way"

They reached Ton's house within a matter of few seconds but to her surprise there were guard at the back door too from where had thought of sneaking into his house.

"We want to meet Ton" She said to the guards. A guard called Ton and after they hung up, he shook his head. They were taken to his room, they knocked his door and he opened.

"Welcome, come on in" He said smiling.

"How did the baby snakes come to the eagle's nest today?" He said throwing himself on the couch, his one leg over another. Rose flourished a knife, she took small timid steps towards him.

"Whoa! Easy there young women" Ton said smiling, slowly raising his hands up.

"Where is Stacy?" She asked him.

"Don't you know we broke up?" He said acting innocent.

"Stop acting sweet, I got a call from her. What did you do to her?" She pointed the knife at him.

"I swear, she's not here" He stood up.

"Adrian!" She called out. Adrian took a few steps forward.

"Let me call her, I will put it on speaker" He said dialing her number. He put it on speaker. Rose's heartbeats fastened with every dial ring.

"Why have you called me now?" Stacy shouted. Yes, it was Stacy's voice. Rose could never have been mistaken with her voice.

"Just tell me where are you"

"I am at my place. Where else would I be?" She hung up.

She threw the knife away. Why did Stacy do this? Adrian patted her back, both of them turned around to leave.

"Rose!" He said. She turned around to face him.

"You look hot in those" He winked, pointing at her hot pants. She gave him a death glare, her eyes were already red with all the tears. Adrian looked at him, then both of them left. They were not being led by a man. They saw a handsome man, all suited and booted standing near the doorway with a couple of other men, as both of them were about to walk past them, Rose didn't take notice of the bump in the carpet, causing her to trip over it and fall straight into the man's arms.

"Good catch!"Adrian exclaimed.

Rose turned crimson, she continued to look down for a while, her hands on the man's broad chest, his hands her arms.It felt like both of them had no mood to break off. The man didn't pull her away. Rose took the courage to make herself move, she made herself stand in an upright position. The romantic interlude was over.

She looked up, her eyes widened, her lips parted, she downcast her gaze.

"I am very sorry sir" She repeated twice. She looked up.

"Oh! never mind. Young lady, I hope you're not hurt" Said the man with a grating voice.

"Yes, Sir. I am fine. Thank you" She smiled, her cheeks showing a tint of pink.

He smiled back. She again downcast her stare.

"Good evening sir..." She greeted and was about to leave.

"Evening..Miss?"

"Rosaleen...Rosaleen Moore" She said and smiled.

They shook hands, his bold gaze stuck at her. After a couple of talks with the man, both Rose and Adrian left the mansion. As they got in the car to leave, Adrian spoke up, "Who was the guy back there?"

"You surely don't want to know..." Said Rose pulling away the car from the curb. He raised an eyebrow.

"He is city's number 1 business men, he has hotels, clubs, bars and apartments all over the world. Evan is his name" Rose told him.

"Ah!" He replied.

"If he fancies you, you're in danger. He has girls begging him to get them in bed. He is kind of THE BAD GUY"

They reached back to find a lot of people gathered in one place.

"Go park this baby and I will check out" She hopped out of her car. She squeezed herself through the crowd to take  a good look of what was going on. Somebody was wrapped in white from top to bottom. There were tapes all around the area. They took the body in a stretcher and put it into the van. The police was talking to Principal Weber.

"Has there been an accident? Who was it?"

"It's the girl from  room no. 32 , Ton's girlfriend" The guy replied probably not knowing who Rose was.

"Miss. Moore?...."
