FALLING FOR THE MAFIA KING
EP-1
The room was quiet, except for the soft hum of the ceiling fan. Moonlight slipped through the curtains, falling on the girl sitting cross-legged on her bed.
Sonia held a photo paper between her fingers — slightly old, edges curled, but his face still clear. Kai. That same cold, distant expression that used to make her heart skip.
Her thumb brushed gently over his picture, her eyes dreamy and soft.
Sonia Garg
(whispering):
When will you come back from abroad, Kai? I miss you so much…
Her voice trembled, but a small smile tugged at her lips.
Students were gathered, laughing, crying, waving their hands. Kai stood near his car, surrounded by people wishing him luck. His suitcase rested by his side, his dark eyes unreadable as always.
Sonia stood a few steps away, clutching a small gift box — a keychain with his initials. Her heart pounded, waiting for him to at least glance her way.
He turned to leave. Not even a goodbye. Not even one look.
Julia Volkov
(putting an arm around Sonia):
It’s okay… don’t be sad. He’s just a cold brat. I’ll miss you, though!
Sonia Garg
(hugging her): I’ll miss you too!!
But her eyes stayed fixed on Kai’s car as it drove away, the little box still clutched tightly in her hand.
Sonia sighed, hugging the photo to her chest.
Sonia Garg
(softly):
You didn’t even say goodbye to me… but still, I’m not angry with you.
How could I ever be angry at my love?
She looked at the photo again, her eyes glistening under the faint glow of her bedside lamp.
Sonia Garg
(with a faint laugh):
You probably don’t even remember me, do you?
She leaned back on her pillow, the photo resting against her heart.
Sonia Garg
(murmuring as her eyes closed):
It’s okay, Kai… I’ll remember for both of us.
Sonia Garg
(softly, to herself):
I wish I had a cell phone… so that I could call Julia and know about you.
It’s been years, Kai… I haven’t even seen you once.
Her voice broke slightly. The silence around her felt heavy — only the ticking of the wall clock echoed faintly.
Then, the door burst open.
Kaveri, her stepmother, stood there with a scowl. Her sharp eyes instantly darted to Sonia’s hands..
Sonia quickly hid Kai’s photo under her pillow.
Kaveri garg/Fl's step mother
(coldly):
What are you doing here? Who’ll make dinner, huh?
Before Sonia could answer, Kaveri grabbed her by the hair and yanked her off the bed.
Kaveri garg/Fl's step mother
(furious):
I want dinner in two minutes! Or be ready to live on the streets!
She shoved Sonia hard, making her stumble to the floor. Then, without another glance, she stormed out, slamming the door behind her.
The silence returned — only this time, it was broken by soft sobs.
Sonia Garg
(crying softly, looking up at the ceiling):
Mom… why did you leave me in this cruel world?
I wish… I wish you took me with you.
Her voice trembled as tears rolled down her cheeks. The photo under her pillow seemed to burn against her heart — her only piece of love in a house full of hate.
After a few moments, she wiped her tears with the back of her hand, stood up shakily, and walked toward the kitchen.
The sound of utensils clattering filled the small house. She stirred the pot mechanically, her mind somewhere far away — with him.
For Sonia, this wasn’t new. It was her daily routine —
to cook, to clean,
to smile through pain,
and to survive every day in a place that never felt like home.

EP-2
Sonia wore her faded café uniform and tied her hair into a messy bun. Her eyes were tired, but she forced a small smile before stepping out.
The cafe was already busy. The smell of coffee filled the air as Sonia moved from table to table, taking orders and serving customers with quiet grace.
To others, she was just another worker. No one knew she also worked part-time at a bakery, a restaurant, and even a library..
By evening, her legs ached, but she didn’t stop until the last customer left.
Manager: Here’s your payment.
Sonia Garg
Thank you so much, sir.
She took the small envelope carefully, her heart feeling a little lighter. That money meant everything to her.
When she reached home, it was already dark.
Kaveri was sitting on the couch, her usual frown waiting for Sonia.
Kaveri garg/Fl's step mother
Hand me the salary.
Sonia silently handed it over. Kaveri grabbed it without even glancing at her.
Kaveri garg/Fl's step mother
Now go and make dinner.
Anchal Garg/Fl's step sister
Mom, I want to eat butter paneer and jeera rice!
Kaveri garg/Fl's step mother
(smiling): Sure, my baby.
Then she turned to Sonia, her face cold again.
Kaveri garg/Fl's step mother
Where are you looking at? Go make it!!!
Sonia just nodded quietly.
She went into the kitchen, rolling up her sleeves. The knife chopped through onions as tears filled her eyes—some from the sting, some from the ache in her heart.
It was her routine every day—
work hard, stay silent,
and survive in a home where love didn’t exist..
Aahana came rushing down the staircase, excitement all over her face.
Aahana Malhotra/ML'S mother
Alex!! Kai and Julia are coming tomorrow!
Alex looked up from the newspaper in his hand, his eyes lighting up for the first time that day.
Alex volkov/Ml's father
That’s a good news. Finally, they’re coming back. We’ll be together again.
Aahana smiled, settling beside him on the sofa.
Aahana Malhotra/ML'S mother
It’s been so long, Alex. Six years since they went abroad.
Alex volkov/Ml's father
(nodding): And Kai… I’m curious to see how much he’s changed. The boy who left as a cold teenager is returning as a man.
Aahana Malhotra/ML'S mother
(smiling): Still the same cold attitude, I bet.
Alex volkov/Ml's father
(chuckling): Probably. But you know him — he hides his heart behind that poker face.
Aahana laughed softly, her voice echoing in the silent mansion.
The wind howled faintly outside, carrying the scent of an approaching storm.
And somewhere far away — on a flight back home — Kai Volkov opened his eyes, unaware that fate was already preparing to lead him back to the girl he had once left without a goodbye.
EP-3
The sound of engines echoed through the long driveway as a sleek black car stopped in front of the Volkov mansion. The gates swung open, and the staff quickly lined up at the entrance, ready to welcome the family’s most awaited return.
The door opened first on the right side, and a young woman stepped out — her smile bright as sunlight.
Her long brown hair danced with the morning breeze, and her eyes sparkled with excitement.
Julia Volkov
(grinning): Finally home! I missed this place so much!
She turned around, expecting a reaction, but the man who stepped out behind her remained silent.
Tall, composed, dressed in black — his sharp gaze scanned the mansion once, emotionless. The same cold, unreadable expression that made people fear and admire him all at once.
Julia pouted, elbowing him lightly.
Julia Volkov
You could at least smile, big brother. We haven’t been here in years!
Kai glanced at her, his tone calm and detached.
Kai Volkov
Smiling won’t change the weather, Julia.
Julia Volkov
(rolling her eyes): Still the same cold statue. I was hoping abroad changed you a little!
Kai Volkov
(walking ahead): Unfortunately, no.
Julia sighed dramatically and followed him inside, still talking while Kai pretended not to listen.
Julia Volkov
You know, I missed the kitchen here. The cookies, the smell of jasmine, the—
Kai Volkov
(cutting her off): You missed food more than home, didn’t you?
Julia Volkov
(laughing): Maybe both!
As they entered the grand hallway, Aahana rushed forward, her face glowing with joy.
Aahana Malhotra/ML'S mother
Julia! Kai! Welcome home, my darlings!
Julia instantly hugged her tight.
Julia Volkov
I missed you so much, mom!
Aahana Malhotra/ML'S mother
(smiling warmly): And I missed you too, my sweetheart. Look at you — all grown up!
Aahana Malhotra/ML'S mother
(softly): Kai… it’s good to have you home.
Kai Volkov
It’s good to be back.
Alex volkov/Ml's father
Welcome home, son.
A girl entered through the main door, dressed in expensive clothes that screamed luxury. Her hair was perfectly styled, her smile practiced.
Alex volkov/Ml's father
Kai, Julia — meet my business partner’s daughter, Avira.
Avira Gupta
(sweetly): Hii~
Her tone was overly cheerful as she brushed a lock of hair behind her ear. Her eyes immediately searched for him.
Avira Gupta
(pretending to be shy): You must be Kai, right? I’ve heard so much about you—
But Kai didn’t even lift his gaze.
Julia Volkov
My brother isn’t a museum piece, Avira..
He remained seated on the couch, one arm resting lazily on the backrest, his eyes fixed on the newspaper in his hand. Not even a flicker of interest crossed his face.
Julia Volkov
(muttering under her breath): Overacting ki dukaan...
Aahana shot her a look, but Julia only smiled innocently.
Avira blinked, clearly taken aback, her fake smile twitching slightly.
Avira Gupta
(forcing a laugh): Oh, you’re so funny, Julia.
Julia Volkov
(tilting her head): I know.
Kai finally folded the newspaper, stood up, and walked past them without a single glance in Avira’s direction.
Kai Volkov
(calmly): I’ll be in the study room.
His deep voice lingered for a second before his footsteps faded down the hallway.
Avira stood frozen, her painted smile fading completely.
Julia Volkov
(grinning): Don’t take it personally. That’s just his natural reaction to people he doesn’t care about.
Aahana Malhotra/ML'S mother
Julia… be polite.
Julia Volkov
(shrugging): I was. That was polite.
Alex tried to hold back a laugh, clearing his throat instead. Avira forced another smile, though irritation flickered in her eyes.
