Sunlight spilled through the blinds of Room 204, landing right on the mop of brown hair peeking out from under the blanket.
Kim Taehyung groaned and rolled over, face buried into his pillow. He’d been up late painting again, which meant this morning — like most mornings — he wanted nothing more than to vanish back into sleep.
Unfortunately, his best friend had other plans.
The shout hit first. Then came the weight someone literally jumped on him.

In the other corner of the dorm room, someone was sleeping peacefully, completely unaware of the morning chaos unfolding nearby. His face was half-buried in the pillow, soft strands of messy black hair falling across his forehead. The sunlight sneaked in through the thin curtain, tracing the edge of his jaw and brushing against his pale skin. His lips were slightly parted, breaths slow and steady, chest rising and falling rhythmically a picture of calm that contrasted the noisy world around him.
Just then a naughty mochi peeked into the room, eyes sparkling with mischief. The morning sunlight spilled across the bed — and the sight of his grumpy best friend peacefully asleep made a playful idea pop into his head.
Quietly, that naughty mochi tiptoed inside, grinning wide.
