Chap 1 : The scent of Fate
The night was alive with whispers. Every rustle, every flicker of shadow felt like a warning.
Taehyung's breath came out in uneven bursts as he ran through the forest, his bare feet hitting the damp ground with soft thuds. The air smelled of rain and iron - and something else. Something ancient. The wind carried a scent that made his chest ache and his pulse race. It was wild, electric, and heartbreakingly familiar.
He didn't know where he was going. All he knew was that he had to keep moving - away from the village, away from the voices that told him he didn't belong. The moon was full tonight, swollen and red, painting the forest in shades of crimson. It followed him like a curse.
For years, Taehyung had felt it - that strange hum beneath his skin whenever the moon rose high. A restless energy that made his heart feel like it was too big for his chest. But tonight, that feeling wasn't just inside him. It was around him. It pulsed through the ground, the trees, the air.
He stumbled into a clearing and stopped. The silence pressed in so thick it hurt his ears. His trembling hand brushed the side of his neck, where a faint crescent-shaped mark glowed softly in the moonlight. He'd hidden it all his life, never knowing what it meant. But now, it felt warm. Alive.
A growl, low and dangerous, rolling through the air like thunder.
Taehyung froze. The shadows shifted, and from between the trees stepped a figure. Broad shoulders, eyes glowing gold, skin slick with moonlight. The world seemed to tilt around him.
Every story Taehyung had heard about the True Blood Alphas came flooding back - wolves born of the first line, powerful enough to command the entire pack, cursed to walk alone. But no story had ever captured the way his presence felt. Like gravity. Like fire. Like inevitability.
Jungkook's gaze locked onto him. The forest seemed to kneel in silence.

"You've been running from me,"
Jungkook said, voice low and calm, but heavy with something ancient.
Taehyung's throat tightened.

Jungkook took a step forward. The air crackled.

Chap 2 : The awakening
The world came back to him slowly - the smell of pine smoke, the weight of a blanket, the low murmur of voices outside a wooden door.
Taehyung blinked into the dim light of the room. A fire burned low in the hearth, shadows dancing along the walls. His body ached as if every bone had been rearranged. The mark on his neck pulsed softly beneath his skin, echoing the rhythm of his heartbeat.
He remembered the forest, the moon, and those golden eyes. Jungkook.
The door creaked open. A tall figure stepped in, carrying a bowl of steaming water. His scent reached Taehyung first - crisp like winter air, threaded with power.

Jungkook said quietly, setting the bowl down.

Taehyung admitted, eyes lowering .

For a moment, the room was silent except for the crackle of firewood. Then Jungkook reached out, fingertips grazing the faint crescent on Taehyung's neck. A shiver ran through both of them.

Jungkook said, his tone unreadable,

His eyes softened, almost unwillingly.

Jungkook looked at him for a long moment, something conflicted flickering in his expression.

Outside, a distant howl rose into the night - deep, mournful, and commanding. The pack was calling for its Alpha. Jungkook turned toward the door.

And as the door shut behind him, Taehyung pressed a hand over his glowing mark, feeling it pulse in time with that distant howl a reminder that his life was no longer his own.
