Shadow of My Heart

prologue

They call him Kaal—shadow, storm, reckoning. The city fears him; no one knows the man behind the name. Every move he makes is calculated, every silence a warning. Yet beneath the ruthless exterior, a flicker remains—a longing, a crack in the armor he never shows anyone.

I am Kaal… the storm that devours all… but you… you are the one I cannot destroy.”
She drifts through shadows, unseen and unbothered, every glance measured, every movement deliberate. And yet, when she senses him—the storm, the shadow, Kaal—watching, she feels it too: a dangerous, magnetic pull, a thread connecting them in a world where trust is weakness and love can be deadly.

episode one

The city of Delhi breathed beneath the morning sun — loud, alive, and restless. Yet, beyond the chaos of horns and dust, one place remained untouched — the ancient Shiv temple nestled in the old lanes
The air inside was cool, the scent of sandalwood and marigold thick. Bells chimed softly as sunlight filtered through the stone carvings, casting golden patterns across the floor.
Draped in a black kurta, sleeves rolled neatly up to his forearms, his presence bent the air around him. He stood before Lord Shiva’s idol, pouring water over the lingam with a silent devotion that felt almost out of place for someone whose hands were known to stain in blood.
His voice, when it came, was calm… too calm.

You said destruction is the path of creation , Mahadev. Then why does the world call me a sinner for doing what you once did?
The temple bells rang suddenly — a gust of wind blew through, making the flames tremble. The man didn’t move. His eyes — sharp, cold, and unreadable — lifted to the idol. A small smile touched his lips.
MrityendraAgnivanshi(ml)
MrityendraAgnivanshi(ml)
Maybe they’ll understand one day… when I burn Delhi’s sins in your name.(calm voice)
A single rudraksha bracelet glimmered on his wrist, blood-red beneath the lamp’s light — his only sign of faith, and perhaps his only weakness.
MrityendraAgnivanshi(ml)
MrityendraAgnivanshi(ml)
You destroyed once to restore balance, Mahadev. Why shouldn’t I?”(deep voice)
For an outsider, his words might sound like blasphemy. But for him, it was prayer.
Outside, the sound of anklets echoed — cautious, hesitant, soft
MrityendraAgnivanshi(ml)
MrityendraAgnivanshi(ml)
You shouldn't be hesitant to come near me Jaan (soft voice)
From the dark corridor behind the sanctum, she appeared — dressed in a simple red saree, her eyes reflecting the glow of the temple flame. She didn’t speak, didn’t interrupt. She just watched him — the man who was her husband, her mystery, and her storm.

Because you’re the only reason I still kneel before a god.(whisper)
The temple bell rang suddenly — sharp and clear — as if punctuating his confession. She stepped closer, standing beside him before the deity. Together, they folded their hands. He looked ahead, she looked at him. Two opposites — destruction and peace — praying to the same god.
Outside, sunlight bathed the temple courtyard. Birds flew across the sky, the world unaware that Delhi’s most feared man and his silent queen were standing here — seeking blessings not for forgiveness, but for power, purpose, and the patience to hold back the storm inside them.

come let's go 🫴
The temple bells faded behind them as they stepped out into the sunlight. Delhi’s noise returned — cars honking, pigeons fluttering, the scent of incense mixing with dust and marigold. A sleek black car waited near the temple steps, guarded by two men in black. The moment they saw him, they straightened — eyes down, silence sharp as air.
But he wasn’t looking at them. His gaze stayed fixed on her — the woman walking beside him, holding the edge of her saree, sunlight dancing on her face. He opened the car door himself — a gesture no one would’ve believed the infamous Kaal capable of.

“Chalo, Jaan,” “Mandir ka sukoon aur duniya ka dard ek saath bardasht nahi hota.”(soft voice)
She smiled faintly, sitting inside. As the car rolled forward, the temple grew smaller in the rearview mirror. The silence between them was soft, unspoken — until she broke it with a teasing tone.

The car drove on through the crowded Delhi streets — a storm and a prayer sitting side by side.
Delhi — midnight again. The streets were empty, the city lights trembling under the weight of thunder. Inside an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts, the air reeked of fear and blood. The sound of a man’s scream tore through the silence — sharp, desperate, dying.
And then came his voice — calm, controlled, and cruel.

By day, a devotee. By night, Kaal — Mahadev’s shadow, walking the earth.
The black rain-soaked car pulled into the gates of their mansion. Outside, lightning split the sky; inside, the halls were quiet, almost eerily still. The scent of sandalwood lingered from the evening puja — a faint reminder of the peaceful temple hours. He stepped inside, dripping wet, coat clinging to his shoulders. His eyes were cold, scanning the room like a predator. She appeared at the staircase — Mivara, in a simple night kurti, hair damp from the rain. Her eyes instantly noticed the subtle bloodstains on his coat cuff.

For a heartbeat, the world outside disappeared. Inside their mansion — the storm raged, the city slept, and the man they called Kaal held both love and terror in his hands.

episode 2

The morning sun poured into their mansion, golden light bouncing off polished floors and expensive furniture. The scent of fresh tea mixed with flowers from the courtyard.
Mrityendra sat at the breakfast table, his crisp white kurta slightly wrinkled and Mivara beside him looking at him
Suddenly loud shout was heard from outside
Before anyone could react, the main door slammed open with a force that shook the polished floor.
