Prologue
have you ever been afraid to close your eyes? to dream?
have you ever been afraid to get lost in your sleep and let your guard down because when you do, he is all you see?

it was a cold winter morning. it was so cold that if you blew out air, you could see your breath

jungkook stared at his son. jihyung flashed a boxy smile at his mother and stood up. he then wrapped his hands around jungkook, locking him in a tight embrace. the he whispered

and anyway, i have you as my mother... i would have wanted anything more
that made jungkook burst into fresh sobs, but this time, they were happy tears, not sad ones

he said as he pulled away from the hug and stared at jihyung...

anyway, enough tears... ive just turned 16, and there is no way im gonna let my mother cry on such a special day ...
he said in mock strictness as he stood up and walked towards the bed where they had placed the cake
jungkook laughed at his sons cuteness as he stared lovingly at jihyung
jungkook answers with a wide bunny smile
