The Heir Of Sirius
Morning of the Crown
[Royal Chamber– Dawn Light Filtering Through Silk Curtains]
Soft sunlight danced across the marble floor, spilling warmth over the golden sheets. After years of silence, the palace finally hummed with celebration.
Alzaria Tibrah
(thinking): So…. it’s today.
The day I stop being Princess Alzaria Tibra.… and become the Queen of Sirius.
She woke up because of the sunlight that came from balcony shining on her face.
[Door creaks open softly]
Riva: Your Highness? Good morning! I’ve brought your breakfast. Warm tea with honey, just how you like it.
Alzaria Tibrah
Oh.... thank you, Rivaara. You’re early today.
[Alzaria steps forward, still half-lost in thought]
Her mind wandered, to the throne, the crown, and the walls that had caged her for years.
And then....
Clink! Cup slips, tea splashes across the gown, but it didn’t fell just splashed the tea.
Alzaria unknowingly bumped with her
Maid: Oh no! I’m so, so sorry, Your Highness! Please forgive me!
Alzaria Tibrah
Rivaara, it’s fine. Truly. I wasn’t paying attention, it’s my fault.
Maid (shaking her head): The future sole heir of Sirius, Princess Alzaria Tibrah, never makes mistakes! If anyone should be punished, it’s me. I’ll take whatever you decide, my lady.
Alzaria Tibrah
(softly smiling): Punish you? You’ve been my maid since I was a child, Rivaara. How could I ever punish someone who’s always been like family?
Maid (warmly):
Even after being so powerful, you never show it off, Princess.
You’re kind, gentle, and humble, just like our Queen would have wanted.
Alzaria Tibrah
(looking toward the window):
Finally.… this day came. The coronation. The crown. The throne. And maybe.... finally.... I’ll be able to step outside this palace and see my kingdom with my own eyes.
Maid (grinning): Oh, I can’t wait to show you the best of Sirius! The Azure Gardens, the Moonlit Harbor, the Crimson Cliffs, and the Temple of Stars! You’ll fall in love with every stone of your land, my princess.
Alzaria Tibrah
(laughs softly): Then let’s not keep them waiting. Time to become… their queen.
Maid: Yes, Your Majesty-to-be! Let’s get you ready.
Maid: Choose your dress please.
Rivaara: Blue Coloured Gown is the tradition dress code for the coronation.
Alzaria Tibrah
Yeah. I know. And I Choose the fourth one
Rivaara: You look so pretty your Majesty.
Alzaria Tibrah
Thank you Riva
First Command
The mirror caught her reflection in a thousand fragments of gold. Layers of silk and jewels framed her face, yet her eyes looked distant, half in the present, half in the weight of what was coming.
Rivaara: You look breathtaking, Your Highness. The crown will envy you today.
Alzaria Tibrah
(smiling faintly): It still feels unreal, Rivaara. After today, I won’t wake up as Princess Alzaria Tayma Tibrah… but as the Queen of Sirius.
Rivaara:You’ve waited for this day since childhood. The kingdom is ready for its true ruler.
Alzaria walked to the window. The dawn light brushed the curtains, filling her chamber with quiet warmth.
Alzaria Tibrah
This room has been my world for years. The last time I stand here as a princess. After this, it will remain silent until the next heir is born.
Her gaze softened as she looked around, at the books stacked neatly on her desk, the embroidery frame left unfinished, the crystal lamp that flickered every night when she prayed.
A knock sounded. The door opened, and a man in silver armor stepped in. His cloak bore the royal insignia of Sirius.
Buraq Kael
Your Highness. The council awaits. It’s time.
His voice was calm but carried a quiet strength. Alzaria turned, meeting his eyes for the first time that morning.
Alzaria Tibrah
Captain Kael. Thank you Riva. Let us go.
They stepped into the long marble corridor, where banners of golden and blue lined the walls. As they walked, voices echoed from ahead, guards speaking in sharp tones.
A soldier dragged a young knight by the arm. The man’s armor was dented, his face pale with fear.
Guard: Your Majesty, (nodes)
Alzaria Tibrah
Who is this man?
Guard: He’ll be taken to the courtyard. His punishment is death.
Alzaria Tibrah
(frowning): Death? For what crime?
The guard straightened quickly.
Guard: He abandoned his post at the Northern Gate last night, Your Highness. Because of that, it was possible that a thief enter the storehouse and steal royal provisions meant for the coronation feast.
The knight fell to his knees. "Forgive me, Your Highness. My mother fell ill. I only left for an hour to get her medicine. I swear I meant no harm."
Alzaria Tibrah
gaze softened: Everyone makes mistakes. He deserves a second chance.
Guard: I’m afraid I can’t, Your Highness. The order came from Lord Ilyar Malek himself.
The name hung heavily in the air.... her uncle’s command.
Buraq Kael
(quietly, stepping closer): Your Highness, the law sides with Lord Malek. Disobeying him before your coronation might cause trouble.… but granting mercy could earn the people’s trust. The choice is yours.
Alzaria looked at the trembling knight.
Alzaria Tibrah
If today is the day I ascend the throne, then let my first act be mercy. Spare his life but give him a small punishment, so that he remembers. And help his mother. Let him serve again, under your supervision, Captain Kael.
Guard: As you command, Princess. I will report your decision.
He bowed and left with the knight.
The man turned once more, tears in his eyes. “Thank you, Your Highness. You’ve saved not just my life, but my faith in this kingdom. You will be the greatest Queen, Sirius has ever known."
Alzaria gave a small nod.
Alzaria Tibrah
Live rightly, and prove this mercy was not misplaced.
Buraq Kael
(quietly as they walked again): Your mercy will be remembered, my Queen.
Alzaria looked ahead, the grand doors of the coronation hall glimmering at the end of the corridor.
Alzaria Tibrah
Then let today begin the reign of compassion. The reign of Sirius.
Alzaria Tibrah
They walked on, side by side....
Garden of Memory
They stepped out of the corridor into the small courtyard at the heart of the castle, a quiet refuge known as the Serein Garden.
White marble arches curved above beds of lilies, and a soft fountain whispered in the center. Morning sunlight filtered through the vines, turning the air golden.
Buraq Kael
You wished for a moment alone before entering the hall?
Alzaria Tibrah
Just one. Before everything changes.
She walked to the fountain. Ripples broke the reflection of the sky and then, from the still air, a blue morpho butterfly descended, landing lightly on her finger.
Alzaria Tibrah
(softly smiling): A blue morpho. It used to be my favorite when I was little.
Buraq Kael
You remember everything from those days.
Alzaria Tibrah
Do you remember when I was four, that incident with those ants?
Buraq Kael
Yes, and I was 7
Alzaria Tibrah
We found two ants playing by the roots of the oak tree.
Buraq Kael
(eyes softened.) You stepped on one by mistake. You cried until your voice broke.
Alzaria Tibrah
(laughing faintly): And then you killed the other one too. You said maybe they’d meet again in heaven.
Buraq Kael
You stopped crying.
Alzaria Tibrah
Only for a minute. Then I said I was bad… that it was my fault that both died.
Kael looked at her quietly.
Buraq Kael
And I told you then, Almighty judges by hearts, not accidents. You were never bad.
