"Annabelle! Hey hurry you'll be late for school." Anna's mom's yells as she can't wait any longer. "I'm coming mummy" she replied with haste and sorrow.

Today is September 20th and high school students are to report to school. Anna wakes up so drained as she couldn't believe she's going to spend three months in school. "I'm ready now" "have you been crying already?" Her mom asks seeing Anna descend the stairs. "I know school isn't fun darling, it's filled with strict rules but don't worry sweetheart, all will pass" Mrs. Clinton gave her a word of encouragement, just then, a group call from the Bena girls was made by Elsie.

Elsie: hey girls, today is the day. Finally?

Hope you're all ready.

Anna: we're all set, I guess.

Elsie: so are we going together, or we'll meet at school?

Brianna: I've already set off. I mean Netta and I, we're sorry for not informing you.

Anna: never mind, my mom is also planning to go with me, meaning, we'll meet at school.

Elsie: I guess so.

Netta:I learned they're a lot of changes in the school.

Brianna: yeah our house mistress has been posted to a different school, and we don't even know the nature of the new one.

Anna: I called Miss Brown three days ago and asked her to prepare a good place for us to sleep, then she enlightened me about the new house mistress, per what she said, she's nothing close to good.

Elsie: can't we request for change? Let's report here.

Anna: I wish we could do that girls, I have to go. See ya!

Brianna: bye!

          After the conversation, Anna then set off to school and that was a very long journey, so she had lots of conversations with her mom and other friends she browsed through her old pictures and was wondering how school will be since there's a change in the house mistress. Anna decided to go to a boarding school because she thought it will help her become more matured, but later she realized it wouldn't, she regretted all her thoughts and wished she could change her battle was too late.

"Anna, we've arrived" Mrs. Clinton informed Anna as she gives a soft reply," finally mom, I'm already exhausted"

Immediately Anna entered the school, she had a different feeling which is obviously not a good one. "Hmm this place feels like prison" she sighed.

 "I'm going to check up on your stuffs, so I ensure it's neatly packed, I'll text you when I'm done" Her mom informed.

"Hey, where have you been" The three other girls came around. "I just arrived" Anna replied sadly. "Girls, I'm just sad right now, we don't know what's going to happen here since our house mistress is no longer here"

"Don't worry Anna we have good news, sir Daniel was posted to our school, he'll be replacing the Core math teacher and uhm, his Bangalois right here in the school, it's not far from campus, we spoke to him not long ago" Netta spoke as Anna on the other hand was thrilled that she was left in her own thoughts. "Hey, are you listening to me" "Sir Daniel is going to be with us, he's just like a father to us, he's going to have time for us. Sir Dan will be with us." Anna was super happy and kept talking as though she's mad.

Afterwards, Mrs. Clinton sent a short message to Anna, she was done parking and had to leave, The girls went to see her off and went over to sir Daniel.

Life is indeed full of surprises, who knew sir Dan is one day going to be part of us, finally we have someone who's more than our house mistress, someone who will be there for us in all circumstances.

After packing the girls had a conversation just like usual and prepared their stuffs for the following day, for their school starts lessons right after the rest day.

"Arise and shine, Havenwood high students, for a bright day awaits you" The siren Wales as Brianna wakes up to call the others.

Argh! we're back again, it just 4:30 am, and we're expected to be awake.

I know the girls are definitely going to wake me up, but I'm too exhausted.

"Anna, Anna, wake up we have class today." Netta yells at Anna.

"One minute please" Anna requested. "Are you waking up,, or you want me to get you watered, that's no big deal for me" Elsie teased Anna as she quickly woke up from the bed as though she had a nightmare. "It's just a minute I requested for" "We have to do our morning devotion already, you're just lucky we didn't wake you up at 3:00am" Netta came in.

The morning devotion went on fast, and they prepared quickly for class. Indeed, the Bena girls never disappoint, they had more than an hour left to get to class and that was enough for them to start a topic for discussion.

Elsie; today's our first day, do you girls think there would be an effective learning?

Netta: Indeed today's our first day, but I know for sure that lesson is going to start, perhaps, it's not going to be effective, it's going to be cool.

Brianna: let's get started then.

Anna: started? Started with what?

Brianna: hey don't we always learn before we go to class? It's our routine, don't tell me you've forgotten.

Elsie: are you kidding? You want us to start learning already? That's not what we do the first week in school.

Brianna: uhm, okay we have more than an hour then, what do we?

Anna: let's talk about random stuffs.

Netta: we are more than celebrities in Havenwood high. We have a lot to do.

Elsie: you're right, everyone including the teachers are on us, they're expecting good grades already; we're just in level 1.

Brianna: Yes they are, we also have a lot of people who are admiring our friendship. They're looking up to us, including our seniors.

Anna: Exactly, but don't forget a lot are also waiting for our downfall.

Brianna: that's their own problem, I guess they'll wait till eternity.

Elsie: Exactly where staying together for life. That's a promise.

Anna: A promise? It's a vow from the Bena girls, or what do you girls say?

Netta: Yeah it's a vow, and we also vow to be there for each other, my problem is your problem and yours is also mine.

Brianna: we're not going to leave anyone behind.

The girls spoke a lot trying to convince Elsie, all she could do was to cry because, they all had points. Her friends promised to keep her company and help her overcome her feelings for Raphael. There, another vow was made to stay single till they graduate from Havenwood high.

Elsie: girls, what of prom?

Anna: we can still go without a date.

Netta: yeah, that's not a problem at all, we'll be here for ourselves.

Brianna: it's almost time, let's get going already.

The girls moved to their various classes, Anna to the Biology class, Netta to the Art class, Elsie to the accounting class and finally Brianna, to the literature class. Just like Netta said, there wasn't any effective learning, so the girls chatted from time to time and Brianna, a class prefect had to put her class in order.

"I stand here today as the head of Havenwood high school to welcome you all back to school, it's been three months since you left and there's been a lot of changes which I know most of you know already but to clear all doubt, the changes are going to be said formally to you all" The headmaster of Havenwood high announced and handed over to the head of Domestic affairs to proceed. Aside the changes that was made among the teachers, other facilities were built as others like the Biology laboratory was renovated. It was also announced that effective learning would start the following week, this week was set aside for the students to explore the school and also monitor the new teachers, not because they need their review for anything but because it's a tradition of Havenwood High. Most students believe it is a period set aside for students to adapt to the new changes, no matter how mean the teachers are, still are to cope, the only way to do that, is to mind your business, so you don't step on any teacher's toe. The parents of the students in the school have almost no power to request for a change among teachers. That's so terrifying to students but what at all can they do?

"I told you less on won't be effective." Netta said with pride. "Yes you did, let's go to sir Daniel's place, we have a lot to talk about with him" Anna continued.

"Hey girls, I knew this place would indeed become a place for you to always come" sir Daniel said.

Anna: of course sir, we would be coming here from time to time.

Elsie: sir, you told us that you were posted to Havenwood high. How did that happen? We all know you to be a junior high teacher.

Sir Daniel: Yes I've been a junior high teacher, but I decided to teach in the senior high, besides I have the qualifications, and to my surprise I was posted here, I just pray the management would be happy with my work here, so I can stay to at least take care of my baby girls.

Netta: Which school on earth will not be pleased with your work? You're a genius. I guess leaving Ashwood Academy wasn't that easy for both the students and the school management.

Sir Daniel: Yes it wasn't, they didn't want me to leave.

Just like usual, we finished up early today and had more than an hour to get to class. After a long conversation from my friends, I decided to finally spill my thoughts out. I told them I want to confess my feelings to Raphael, but they were all against me, not even one person was on my side. I rather thought they were going to motivate me and wish me a good luck, but it wasn't so. I couldn't help but cry, I guess they're right. If I tell Raph how I feel, what would happen next? I'm definitely going to feel awkward, and if he likes me back, then are we going to date? that's also going to need extra time. I'll have to be there for Raph and be there for my friends as well, I'll also have to make time for my studies. Huh, That will be, so stressful, I actually can't bear it. All these thoughts and more were popping up in my brain, I realized my friends wants the best for me so I finally decided to hide my feelings, maybe it would gradually disappear, besides, my friends have promised to help me out.

After the conversation, we moved to our various classes, on the corridor leading to my class? I bumped into a wall, it seemed to be hot and comfortable, then I raised my head only to see Raphael. It wasn't a wall as I thought but Raph. What happened to him? It has been noticed that he reports to school on the third day after school reopens, how come he's in school already?

"Hey" he said waving at me. Uhm, hey! sorry for not being careful... "nevermind" he intruded. I was actually not expecting to see you, you don't report to school this early. "Yes but I couldn't wait to come to school" he said. "You couldn't wait to come to school?" I wanted to ask, 'cause no one on earth would say that, but that's none of my business so I withdrew from asking. "would you mind if I talk to you during recess?" he requested. Raphael has changed, at first he was always busy with stuffs I don't know of, it always a hi, hey or hello I always here from him, it hasn't even exceeded to a good morning before and now he's standing right in front of me requesting to have a word with me during recess, well, there's nothing wrong with that, I thought and finally accepted his request. He gave a warm smile and walked away. Then I also moved to the class. Indeed lesson wasn't effective just as Netta said. We chatted from time to time and then an assembly was held just according to the tradition of Havenwood high, we aren't going to have any serious lesson till next week, the

New teachers were introduced, and we were informed of the new facilities that has been built and the old ones like the Biology laboratory that has been renovated. I can't actually wait to have a glimpse of each facility. Right after the assembly my friends and I went to Sir Daniel's Bangaloto talk with him, I don't even know how to explain the kind of happiness I get when I realize sir Dan is with us, he has always been a father towards us for the past few days and I know for sure that he's going to continue his fatherhood attitude towards us. I love him so much. We got to sir Daniel's Bangalo and fortunately for us, he was around, spoke for long, and then I received a short message, it was from Raphael, how on earth did he manage to get my number, he wanted to ask if I could come over, so he talks to me. I didn't see the need to tell the girls, so I lied to them that I had something to do in class and left.

"I'm glad you made it here" he said immediately he saw me. What is it you wanted to tell me? I asked, his facial expression changed and all of a sudden, he held my hand and started walking. "Where are we going" I asked. "To walk around, I guess you haven't watched the new facilities yet" He said dragging me.

Goodness, this place is super incredible, how did they do this within just three months, it's awesome. I was thrilled upon seeing the changes in the school. We then settled at the new cafeteria and ordered for some milkshakes, I've never seen Raphael take milkshakes before, why is he acting that strange? Well, we now settled, I guess I'll find out soon.

"Elsie, when I first came to Havenwood high, you were the first person I said hi to and during orientation, I was praying you'd be in the same class with me. I was super happy when you were and tried so hard to talk to you, but I was shy, I realized I was falling for you, I noticed that I love you, we went home and I realized that I miss every about you and that's why I couldn't wait to see you, then I promised myself to start talking to you when we meet again, please I want you to me mine, I want to call you my own, I want to be yours, I want us to be together, please date me" he said with so much love and care, he looked at me right in the eye and I didn't know what to do, saying no was a heartbreaking something for me and saying yes means I was betraying my friends, why at all must I be found in such situation. He held my face gently and kissed my forehead, just then tears dropped from my eyes which he wiped away and told me he didn't need a response, he said he'll always be there no matter what, he said he'll wait till I'm ready, he was about to leave as I held his hand and confessed too, that I also love him, but I wasn't ready, then he hugged me so tight. "We're friends now, we're not going to talk about this again until you bring it up, until you're ready, I love you" he whispered into my ears and left. I was thrilled, who thought there was a better way to resolve my love issue.
