[Author's]
The sun was blinding the New York city, leaving behind the darkest hour as an alarm clock sounds rang across the room. A boy who was sleeping soundless awaken by the sudden noises, not expecting it at all. He grumbled slightly annoyed but turned it off nonchalantly before moving out of the bed.
It was 7:00 in the morning. Another day for Charles to get ready for school seeing that he was still seventeen and in the last grade of high school.
Charles looked at the mirror, staring at his rather unique eyes who stared at him back. Charles Stefano was the son of Melinda and Erick Stefano, who worked in their own small company they had built from scratch. He can be described as a carefree and cheerful person which led him to be quite known around his school. He stood at five feet five and still growing due to the fact that his mother's gene runs in his blood. He owned a fluffy brown hair, blue-violet-ist eyes, a small nose and not to forget his pink lips. He looked similar his mother with his feminine face and body at that; he was once mistaken as a girl.
Charles ran downstairs and was greeted by his parents. His mother was siting on the couch while his father was drinking a coffee, talking to each other.
"Mom and dad, I'm off to school!" He yelled, tying his shoelaces before grabbing his backpack and keys. He reached out for the door handle afterward, not hearing their responses as he was going to be late.
"That boy, seriously." Melinda sighed at the sight of her son but smiled nonetheless.
Walking to school was a not so favorite things Charles liked to do. It was tiring, bothersome and he always ran out of breath whenever he arrived. His car was still at the repair shop because he accidentally scratched it and it'll be dropped off this afternoon which he was glad of; he needn't to walk to school again.
After a long time of walking on he sideways, a two story building came to the view making him breath out in relief. His school wasn't too bad because people favorited him as the school's 'Sweet heart' and it was kinda true considering that he was an easygoing guy who speak to anyone.
Charles has tons of friends but the ones that are considered as his best friends aren't many. For example, Zachary which was currently jogging towards Charles with a grin on his face. He groaned as Zach attached himself to Charles's body, hugging him from behind with ease.
This dammed hulk
The guy was six feet tall, easily towering Charles; the one thing he jealous of. He has all; the look, the height, the sculpted body and the popularity. All the things Charles had always was except the popularity one. "My Cupcake! Good morning."
Charles snorted at the nickname. His friends were all calling him that because of his cupcakes addiction. He needs at least three a week because he knew diabetes going to get him sooner or later if he ate too much sugar.
"Yeah, good morning to you too, Hulk." Zach pouted, tightening his grip around Charles small waist.
"You two lovebirds! We're going to be late if you guys keep on being lovey dovey," A feminine voice called out as Charles and Zach walked to where the voice came. Jennifer, another of Charles best buds leaning against the locker, eyes glaring at the two guys. She also proudly towered over Charles at five feet eight. Her smooth strawberry blonde hair was tied in high ponytail, she wore a light makeup, a black cropped top that clung to her curves, a high waist white ripped jeans and a black sneakers to complete the look.
Jennifer smiled mischievously glancing at the two boys in front of her. "You two should date for real. You guys are perfect for each other! Jock and the Nerd....might as well I make a fan fiction about you guys."
"This guy?" He pointed at Zach who rolled his eyes feeling offended. "Hey, I'm quite handsome you know. You've seen my abs and my ***** body and I'm pretty sure I've seen you drooling at the sight of me and my sexiness. Don't deny it, I know."
Charles slapped his chest. "I'm not gay and you're straight as ruler."
"No, Honey. I'm bi." Jen snickered making Charles blush in embarrassment before he closed the locker.
He rolled his eyes and walked away with Jen and Zach behind him arguing about which one is better. He went inside the class and mentally groaned when he knew that algebra was the first class.
Great, hell in the morning
The teacher came soon stomping her way to the table, looking irritated before she started the class while grumbling. Charles sighed, leaning his head on his right fist, looking out to the window beside him while observing the loose leaves getting swept by the wind. But, after some times, his eye lids dropped and he fell asleep.
To say, he woke up when the lunch bell rang and he wasn't pleased. Many years had passed by but it decided to haunt his dream and memories once more. He brushed it off but he couldn't wipe the moody look on his face as he stood from his seat and tossed his bag to his shoulder.
The hallway was crowded and noisy seeing that it was lunchtime. An arm wrapped itself on Charles's shoulder and Jacob—his other best friend came to the view.
Jacob Estrada was a typical jock that plays football and is the captain. He was well built and slightly broader than Zach and even taller than him, standing at six feet two. His tussled blonde hair was shaved at the side, leaving the middle long and untamed. His jaw was sharp, he has a thin lips, grayish blue eyes and high cheekbones. He was well attractive and the center of attention. Jacob has a rather friendly and nice personality; not like the usual bully jock.
"Hey, hun." Jacob beamed, skipping his way to the cafeteria; dragging the poor guy with him.
"Unh," Charles greeted back with a slight hum, letting himself to be dragged away.
"You look troubled, care to explain?" Jacob asked, walking towards the empty seats they usually sat on with Zach and Jen already waiting.
Charles whined. "Bad dreams." He moaned out as he sat down and pulled out his sandwiches and his favorite milk. Jacob took a seat beside him, Jen and Zach was sitting opposite while both munching on their foods. "Aw, our adorable Cupcake was scared with bad dreams."
"Jacob! What—?" Jen interrupted, slamming her hands onto the table gaining their attention.
"Guys, beforehand I'd to say something," Jen continued after the attention were now on her. "I turned eighteen two days ago, right? And good news for us, my mom lets me go to a club!"
Zach widen his eyes. "Really?!"
"This is great! Finally I can go to the party with my all of my best friends, I can't wait." Jacob exclaimed excitedly before high-fiving Zach and Jen's awaiting hands.
"Sorry to break it to you guys, I'm seventeen."
They all looked at Charles with no expression at first but then Jacob suggested, "It's okay, my brother owned a club downtown and I'm sure if I talked to him, he'll let us in. All guaranteed, trust me."
"Still not intere—" Charles groaned as he was interrupted once more but this time by Zach. "Before you disagree, please think about it carefully."
Zach knew that Charles couldn't resist his puppy eyes after seeing his disturbed face, Zach smiled, showing off his white teeth. "Fine." Charles mumbled.
They cheered before sitting back down and eat the rest of their food making Charles chuckled silently looking the sight.
. . .
"I'm home," Charles said, his voice echoed through his empty house as he waited for an answer. "Guess they're away for business trip."
He trotted to the kitchen after showering and changing clothes, looking for something to eat. A yellows note was glued to the fridge, he presumed was left by his mother. And indeed it was, his parents were currently on an emergency business trip and will be back around two weeks front now. It wasn't the first time Charles had the home for himself, knowing that his parents were a CEO of their own company so it was normal.
Looking inside the fridge, Charles groaned when no edible food in sight. All of them were raw food and he couldn't cook at all. Once, he almost burned the house down when he tried to cook an egg and his mother banned him from cooking again. So instead of risking his life once more, he grabbed his car keys and locked the door before going outside. He unlocked his car he got for his sixteenth birthday which was a green Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2, not the fanciest but at least it can move.
Charles pulled out from the garage, a smile stretched on his face as he was able to drive his baby girl after a week of separation. He was craving something greasy so he drove to McDonald that wasn't too far.
He stepped inside and the smell of chicken and fries hit his nose making him almost drooled.
"Good evening, what can I get for you?" The cashier asked with a polite smile on her face. Charles took a minute debating whether he bought two burgers, a large fries and sprite or two burger, three pieces of chicken, a large fries and a cola. Eventually, he ordered the second choice because he's a growing man that needs a lot of junk food. Don't judge him. He paid the bill and went to the nearest empty seat, holding his foods. He spent the next hour just eating and looking out the window.
After he was done, he made a quick trip to the book store in front of where he ate. He bought a book called 'The Royal Highness' that he had been itching to read for while. He paid the book and went outside when his mother suddenly called.
"Hello," Charles answered. "My baby! Sorry if we suddenly gone missing since your father with his stupidity here forgot about the meeting with an important business partner so we had to get here as soon as possible."
Charles could see his mother rolled her eyes and chuckled. "It's fine and mom I know dad can be stupid sometimes—no all the time but please don't go hard on him, who knows how much he can handle."
"You were supposed to be on my side, son!" His father yelled from the other line and heard his mother pinched him. It went quiet for a moment before his mother's voice came on.
"Son, I hate to say this but, I have to go now. Take care and call me if you need anything, love you."
"Love you too, Mommy." He ended the call before walking towards his car not noticing a pair of eyes watching every of his movements.
A pair of brown eyes was observing a boy from top to bottom. A smirk placed on his face as he leaned on the leather chair behind him. The Don was attracted and allured by the boy he had just seen walking towards a green Lamborghini.
He needed to know who was the boy, he must know who the boy was.
"Kelly, do me a favor," He pointed his hand to the boy who had just went inside his car before continuing. "I need you to get any information available about the boy in that car and give it to me tomorrow afternoon."
"Yes, Don." Without hesitations Kelly, his right hand man got out from the limousine and informed his subordinates what needed to be done.
"Excuse me, Don. Mr. Paul is already waiting at the hotel and your presence is requested as sooner as possible." A black man in suit, his secretary said before the car jolted awake after the Don's permission was granted.
Wait for me, Little one
The innocent Charles went home without noticing a black car trailing behind him. He sang his heart out on the music he was currently jamming in. After arriving in his house, he parked the car and went inside bringing the goodies with him. He walked straight up to his room to read the novel he bought for the rest of the night.

🎶 I don't give a \*\*\*\* about you anyways Whoever said I gave a shit 'bout you? You never share your toys or communicate I guess I'm just a play date to you 🎶
Play Date by Melanie Martinez played in background when Charles's phone vibrated, showing Jenny's name on the screen. Groaning in annoyance, he picked up after some time rubbing his tired eyes. He shouldn't have binged reading the novel all night all and now, he suffered from the consequences. But, who blamed him? The book's too good to stop reading and he couldn't sleep either because his curiosity was dying inside knowing damn well that every chapter was a cliffhanger. Nobody likes cliffhanger, I know.
"Hello," He answered with his rough voice, still dazed from his sleep. Charles went to the bathroom to brush his teeth and wash his face with the towel, leaving the call on speakerphone.
"I see you had just woke up. I'm going to cut the bush off and tell you that you're going to be late if you don't get your \*\*\* here within twenty minutes." Jenny explained, her voice was cheerful and not a moody one. She, apparently loves mornings and is a morning person, which Charles can't relate when he hates morning with passion.
Charles grunted, "Huh? I don't care if I'm late not that science is the first class."
The other line laughed hearing that came out of he friend. She expected this every Thursday since science was their first class together and their killer of a teacher wasn't tolerating any student who came late or they'll automatically go straight to the detention room.
"That, honey, you're wrong," She continued. "Today's Thursday dumb \*\*\* and science is our first class. Now stop grumbling and get here now!"
Before Charles could answer, she hung up the call and grinned when she knew the distressed look on her friend's face when he got here. On the other hand, Charles quickly put on an oversized red hoodie, a black jeans and black sneakers before he went out to his car. All that happened in under five minutes and fortunately his car was back so getting to school without being late wasn't a problem anymore; except if there was a traffic.
Ten minutes passed with Jenny still patiently waiting for Charles's arrival while playing some games on her phone. Charles arrived panting after he banged the door open just to see the teacher's seat empty before he sighed in relief. He went to sit beside Jenny at the back of the class right then, the devil aka Mr. Harry came with a new face behind him.
"Okay, Class!" He greeted not so friendly as he thumped his book to gain the students attention. "Good morning, I have a good news—not really but as you can see there's a new guy beside me and he's your new classmate for the rest of the year. So, you better treat him right and I ain't hearing complaints about you trouble makers. You," He pointed. "Introduce yourself."
The new face smiled and as if there was a light behind him, the girls as well as some guys were blinded by his handsomeness. He has a shining green eyes with no hint of under bags, his nose was pointed and high, his thin lips that was currently smiling, he has an untamed black hair and he stood higher than six feet. He wasn't all that bulky, he was rather thin but he did have some muscles in his arms, that alone is an evidence.
"Hi! My name's James King and I was born in California and just recently moved here. I hope we can be friends." He beamed and Mr. Harry gestured him where he would be sitting on. "Alright, if you guys have some questions ask him after my class. I ain't sacrificing another five minutes for some stupid questions. Now, please sit beside Charles, the one with the red bag over there."
James jogged towards Charles, still beaming. His air around him screamed positivities and lively; there was no single moodiness detected. James took a seat beside him, taking out a notebook and a pen from his bag before glancing at Charles with his hand extended.
"Hi! Nice to meet you! I'm James, what's your name?" He asked, slightly bothering Charles with his too much energy tone.
"Uh, yeah. Nice too meet you too, I'm Charles." He shook hand with the James and was getting uncomfortable when the guy stared at him with a smile on his face and no intention on loosening their grip anytime soon. Charles tried to pull his hand back but James just tighten his grip, still staring at his eyes.
After some time of staring contest
at each other, Jenny broke the silence when she noticed that Charles wasn't paying attention on what she was about to asked. "Cupcake and the new guy, what are you guys doing?"
Charles blushed and James finally pulled his hand back. His palm was sweating afterward but made no comment on that. He turned his gaze to Jenny, silently tried to communicate with her so that the creep wouldn't hear anything. Jenny looked at him weirdly and confused of why was Charles intensely looking at her face.
"What?" She finally asked.
With the red blush still on his face, Charles turned away and looked at the window after muttering, "Nothing."
Jenny sighed and saw that James was looking at Charles for the second time. She grinned mischievously, her gay radar was never wrong.
She cleared her throat making James looked up at her. "So, are you enjoying it here?"
Chapter three; edited
Alarm here and there, thanks for waking me up at three fucking o'clock and it's Saturday may I add. Yeah, I know I have plans with my so-called friends but waking up at three o'clock in the morning was just too much, especially when I couldn't sleep again.
This was nineteen hours later. I stayed up playing games in my phone, Psp, and Nintendo switch.
I think I should have a bath now, I smell kind of funny and gross at the same time. Everything I want to do was annoying even walking with cramps on my leg.
Okay, skipping my evening routine, I was now done with bath and getting dressed and stuff. I messed my hair a little bit and showered myself with perfumes before I went out of the house and drove off to the XX street where Jennifer apparently was.
"Cupcake!!" Jenny shouted making people around us stared at her weirdly. "It's nice having you here, Cups!"
"What makes the difference whether I'm here or not?"
"The group isn't complete without you, my lady." Jacob snorted and gave me a hug in the waist.
I looked behind Jacob and found James looking angry while glaring dangerously at Jacob but softened when his eyes met mine. Creepy.
"Ok now that everyone is here, let's go inside, I can't wait!!" Jenny exclaimed with her eyes full of curiosity.
Jacob dragged me inside with his hand still in my waist pulling me to his rock hard chest. This was he always do when he was sulking or annoyed. I'd be his victim.
"I'd be nice if you turn off your volume." Ran suggested throwing his hand to Jenny's mouth.
Jenny kissed his hand making Ran cringed. "Ew! Your lipstick is here!"
"Take that, bitch." Jenny snapped while smirking.
"Can you all shut up and let me go inside and get some drinks?"
"Yes, sir!"
As we went inside, Jenny and Ran automatically screamed.
"This is awesome!" Ran and Jenny shouted admiring their first time inside a night club. Me on the other hand, stand there while eyeing the people who make out and stuff. Gross.
"I'm going to the bar." I said walking off from them as they nodded their head.
"I'm in the dance floor if you search me."
****
The bar was a bit different from what I've seen from Instagram and stuff. It was more beautiful than I've imagined.
Jacob's brother did a good job with this.
"Hey Charles! I'm going with you." James yelled coming over to my way.
"Kay."
"This bar looks dazzling! It's not my first time going to something like this but I've never seen a bar with such a beautiful view!" James and I took a sit and ordered an orange juice for me and red wine for James.
"I'm agree."
"So Charles, tell me about yourself." James suddenly said making me almost choked on my precious orange juice.
"Um, What should I say?" I continued, "I'm Charles Stefano, seventeen years old with a cute and baby face, I like to play basketball and tennis, I have two older brothers, and I like to read. So what about you?"
"I have nothing to say though. But my name is James King, I'm nineteen years old, and I like to sing."
"Oh, that's good."
"Charles tell me, do you have a girlfriend?" James asked seriously but smiled when I replied, "No."
This guy is a total creep.
"James, I need to go to the toilet. Stay here I'll be back in five minutes."
Walking out of the bar with James stare at the back of my head was very annoying. Whatever is wrong with him, I don't care.
"S-sorry!" I said when I bumped to someone while I was in daze.
"It's okay. It's my fault anyway, I don't know you're there." The stranger said.
"What's your name?" He asked staring down at me. He was damn, beautiful and I couldn't say anything about it.
His lips curved to a smile with a little dimple showing up on his left cheek. He was on his thirties I think because they were no wrinkles on his face but he looked a bit old for twenties. His figure was built like a junior of hulk and he was very tall.
He must notice me that I'm staring. "Hello?"
"A-ah yes? Well my name is Charles. Nice to meet you!" I stuttered out and hid my face behind my hand.
"Nice to meet you too, Charles. My name is Markus, 내 사랑." He said but I don't the last word he was saying because it was in Korean.
"You're Korean?"
"No silly! It's because I live in Korea for three years but I originally born in here."
"That's cool! I'm a fan of Korea culture and their language but I only know one word which is 안녕하세요."
"Your pronunciation is good you should study more."
"Ah, yes. Thank you but anyway I need to go now."
"It's a shame but it's nice to talk to you." He waved his hand and walked off to the different direction.
"Who's that just now?" James asked, glaring at Markus's back.
"Someone I bump into."
"Oh." Was all he said.
****
Other person point of view;
"Boss! We found him! We found Fred! He's currently hiding in the arm of Chinese mafia!"
"Good," I praised. "Tell Xiao Yu to kill that worthless piece of shit now!"
"Yes boss!"
It's kind of unfortunate for Fred to meet up with death when he was enjoying his life with his new wife. But how stupid he was to hid behind the Chinese Mafia, knowing that the Italian and Chinese Mafias were enemies. Funny. We're best buds, I'm the one who helped the Chinese Mafia when they were in crisis state and that was when we became friends.
Xiao Yu was their leader, looking innocent but ruthless.
"Sir Dante, you have an appointment with sir Markus in twelve pm. Please let me know if you're done."
"I'm not doing anything at the moment. Let's go."
***
Charles point of view;
I splashed my face with water and wiped it off with my clothes. When I was about to went out of the bathroom, the door opened and James came in.
"I'm worried about you because you spent a lot of time in the bathroom. Let's go out shall we?"
"Oh okay."
